im thinking about it now. i wonder if the bad review LMM left on Catching demons caused FZ to revise the whole book while LMM was in the parallel universe. and then FZ somehow entered the body of Ziqi last minute after connecting with FZ's younger selves. then idk some memory transfer or syncing happened and boom the whole book is changed within a short period of time.

you should defo watch ALP. the continuity of both serieses are not the same. some things like names and titles have changed. Shanggu became Yi He and Baijue became something else i cant remember. also TLI have changed it from 4 true gods aka The Chief God, God of Fire , Demon God and Divine God to just the Chief God and God of Fire. stripping them of these titles as well and just calling them zhēn shén instead. so i suggest watching them back to back or even ALP a few times like i did so you can pick up the status of certain characters that you might not notice when you watch TLI. also in TLI our ML takes the name of someone of great importance to his mother. you'll have to see ALP to guess who

are you talking about Ah Jiu? if so during ALP when Shanggu and Bai Jue im not sure if they were Hou Chi and Qing Mu yet but i do know when they went to the demon realm they met with Chang Qin, the fox princess who was engaged with the demon king's son Sen Yu i think. and he was constantly protecting this small injured fox called Qing Li. well Ah Jiu is the nephew of Chang Qin, in TLI Chang Qin is Hong Ruo, Sen Yu is Lin Mo i think and Qing Li is Qing Lin. im annoyed that they changed the names so much but oh well.

THANK YOU!! i was so weird i couldn't put my finger on it. I dont know why but halfway through i started skipping through scenes. i think it was during the hunting episode i jsut got so bored. i loved the whole Li Family experience and how she helped her family members it was so touching seeing her become close with LMD and his mother and LCR and her mother but thats only during the first half. LCL was a boring villian and i think the only characters i liked from the second half were the Crown Princess and the Emperor. they really stuck out to me. i loved the grandma from both Li and Liang families. i just wish we saw more of the Liang family through various objects that LWY had like that super amazing jade. i do wonder what happened to that. but oh well. i saw a bunch of clips online and none were from the latter half. i now know why.

on episode 8. its not too bad but it is a little boring.

i agree the only characters that were interesting to me so far is jin ah, eun bin and kang wook. although the latter is more interesting in a hes kinda cute way. but everyone else a little boring. especially Yu Ri her reactions are, like you said, souless
