I don't think any of them are stupid, that's why it's so annoying. Like how did the mother's name only come up now, wouldn't that be one of the first things to talk about. I think that part annoys me the most 🤣
I was excited for this, but we're more than halfway through and it's so disappointing. It's sooo slow and there's so many plotholes that can only be explained away if you believe the characters are actually stupid :(
I know there needed to be trauma for the whole split personality thing to work, but personally I feel like it all wrapped up too neatly for how tragic the backstory was. As much as I understand the father's feelings of guilt, at the end of the day he did abandon his son and not once tried to reach out, let alone make up for it. Still, it was all forgiven after one conversation. It's the same with the mother. It's true she was struggling and I can empathise with that, but it's also true that she was absuive towards her son and the trauma from that disappeared so easily in the end. Especially the reveal that she didn't step in front of the car intentionally was kind of a cop out
The show tackled a ton of deep issues and a lot of the time it was done beautifully (like Pobmek asking his friends for help or him telling them how tired he is having to take care of Solar/Sun) and that's probably why ep 9 was even more disappointing.
I don't get the hate, but maybe it's because I haven't been waiting years for this like others have and didn't have any expecations. You probably won't like it if you're hoping for a typical BL and/or a serious one. It was incredibly goofy, but I found it endearing and a lot of fun.

Einerseits, weil ich nie behauptet habe, dass er ein Verbrechen begangen hätte und andererseits, weil ich fest bei meiner Meinung bleibe, dass er die Situation für sich ausnutzt. Das ist keine falsche Beschuldigung, das ist eine Meinung.
Kanda ist im selben Alter wie der ältere Bruder und gleichzeitig Nachhilfelehrer, dadurch hat er automatisch einen ganz anderen Einfluss und eine andere Wirkung auf einen Jugendlichen. Wäre außerdem nicht das erste Mal, dass jemand Minderjähriges freiwillig mit einer älteren Person schläft und dann erst Jahre später merkt, wie merkwürdig ist, dass die ältere Person das überhaupt wollte.
Das wird dich jetzt überraschen, aber ich kann tatsächlich Kanda verurteilen UND gleichzeitig an Akiras psychische Gesundheit denken. Ich hab Mitgefühl mit dem Jungen und gerade deswegen bin ich der Meinung, dass er andere Unterstützung mehr gebraucht hätte, als eine sexuelle Beziehung mit einem Mann.

Aber zum Abschluss hab ich auch eine dringende Bitte an dich: Geh mal in dich und frag dich, warum du in den Kommentaren so vehement dafür kämpfst, dass Erwachsene mit Minderjährigen schlafen dürfen. You can write an essay about consent laws, but the point that Kanda is in the wrong still stands. He's exploiting both his position as a trusted authority figure and Akira's vulnerability, not to mention their significant age gap.
No 14-year-olds should go to prison for fooling around with each other. Grown men exploiting minors should.
I usually don't watch shows with over the top characters and eleven episodes in, Duang still makes me cringe. But somehow I can't stop watching :D
Maybe it's because Duang is not JUST childish, only in some ways and in other ways he's very mature and, most importantly, a healthy communicator. I also love their dynamic, because you can tell his feelings are reciprocated. Sometimes in BLs it feels like the love interest is just letting things happen, but Quin plays an equally active part in the relationship. It feels very realistic how he opens up to Duang, is playful with him and seeks his attention and/ or touch. I think, that's what makes it special to me, because it feels so natural compared to other series I've seen with similar settings.
