I finally watched it after putting off for a while...I am still watching although I know the end..there are just certain issues that annoy me xiaoyao cannot tell me she is unaware of the obsessed love that her cousin feels for her and yet she still stays beside him..I see no reason for her to be with him when he has already achieved the goals they wanted him to achieve and the annoying part is that xiaoyao knows that jing is soft hearted and gentle that is why she can treat him that way. because if I were jing...I wouldn't be able to stand such nonsense between her and her cousin. Now xiangliu/fanfang bei is like her parents...they sacrifice themselves for their people so you can't expect them to end up together. to be honest I don't think xiaoyao loves any one of her men deeply...I feel like in terms of romantic love this is her rating. xiangliu more than 50 to 60% (If he had agreed to go with her, she would love him 80 to 90% for jing/ye shiqi her love for him too was around xiangliu's percentage because I saw she loved them equally but because jing was willing to sacrifice everything for her even his status, it increased to 80 to 90% she doesn't even love her cousin romantically or fenglong too... I pity A nian, to be honest she deserves better idk why they didn't allow her end up with ru shou and the writer thought she should suffer like xingyue.
cang xuan is the one that annoys me the most, what type of obsession is that? it's disgusting and he has been violent with her the times he has been drunk, absolute nonsense....the actor did such a good job that I can't stand to watch any of his dramas unless he acts as a villain.
lastly xingyue, girl is so stupid, what were you expecting when you marry a king, before then, did she close her eyes to notice that cangxuan is not in love with her...a king can never be devoted to one woman unless he loves her and even if he loves her, he would have to get concubines for more heirs....and she knew he doesn't love her yet she came and had high expectations..so stupid
honestly I feel so bad for the SML, like he was her only support then when she was sick and he did all he could even sacrificing his life and all...but that's life...stuff like this happen in real life...I hope he gets better though

there is nothing to be sorry about, we are all entitled to our own opinion, for me it was still better than some dramas rated higher....yes people watch based on ratings...it was meant to be a light drama....I took it as such so I didn't have too many expectations for it...i remember watching flower of evil(kdrama) when it aired and the ratings were not it at all for such a drama and it was really sad...I didnt even hear anything about it even after it aired...then years later...the ratings skyrocketed and I was so shocked, i couldn't believe my eyes...it was the best drama i ever watched after the untamed...I just couldn't get over it.....so i believe ratings determine at least 75% of reasons why people watch dramas
