I never mentioned Wen's financial status to even club with Jim's poverty issue. Jim's struggles is his own. Wen was there as his emotional support. It's you who is busy clubbing every couple's individual issue as couple issue. Liming's mom is another character whose fans never held her guilty of running away from the responsibility of looking after her own son, leaving him to a man who is already full of debt. Even then, Jim wanted the best for the nephew by struggling to raise funds for his education, but he was adamant about going abroad without thinking that going abroad isn't like going to Chiang Mai from Pattaya.
Work and travel is not easy in reality, and especially for a high school student like him, they made it so easy and romanticized it, which I find unrealistic.
Other fans will definitely not like the slow-paced adult talk, as I can see it clearly since the airing till now, but calling them boring and skip is too much, and on the other side, calling it a masterpiece for a common plot , which surprise, that disability plot is there in Last Twilight too... Too common..
Anyway, this kind of slow-paced adult talk series won't be coming out anytime soon coz fans rejected it, wish this was never produced by gmmtv or wish that JimWen's plot was given to a different indie production house.

None of the issues you have mentioned about 2nd couple even match. Heart is from a well-to-do family, he is nowhere in poverty. Liming doesn't understand the poverty issue of Jim and is adamant on going abroad with bad grades and no money, which is so unrealistic. Heart has his own issue of deafness with his parents; that's not Liming's problem. Finding their place? They just need guidance from elders and guardians.
3rd couple? Are they even a couple?? They just kept it open for them; they have their own issues to solve. And those issues would not happen if your "boring 1st lead" didn't exist.
Who had the real poverty issue? Jim. Who had faced betrayal of partner for having a heterosexual partner outside? Jim. Who faced the homophobic reality of people and the reason for poverty? Jim. Who faced the guilt, trauma, and pain of the partner's demise? Jim. Who showed us the reality of falling out of love ? Wen. and Who gave us the story of life's second chance to move forward? JimWen.
And yet, BL stans begs for mature, realistic series, and when you get it you just call it boring and skip. If you guys wanted this series where the "boring" pair was not there, it would be just like those random usual gmmtv/wabisabi series that come out every year-end roster. One crying for ex, one cant get over ex, teens finding what they want in life.
Moonlight Chicken won't be moonlight chicken if JimWen didn't exist, esp. Jim. Just that its unfortunate that they took actors who are in popular trend; hence, the whole plot of the slow matured series got overshadowed .

Social class.. Wen having good social life and a good paying job, unlike Jim struggling in every steps, hence he replied in that staircase scene to not waste time on him and that Wen will be okay someday
