you are welcome! the subbing depends. some come with subs (check https://raredoramas.ga/tag/%2Aenglish+subtitles ) whilst others are just raws; in those cases, you can try sites like subscene, opensource or sites where subbers themselves post their subs like d-addicts or drama-otaku
life-changing!! not saying mother for five minutes challenge was getting harder and harder while watching this drama. this is from 2001 and it didn't age badly at all, the humor is there but I found the main plot more interesting. the side plots were fun and the acting is TOP NOTCH! If having legendary Hirosue Ryoko, Takenouchi Yutaka, Abe Hiroshi, Tsumabuki Satoshi and Sonny Chiba in the same drama is not enough reason to watch, then I don't know anymore. give it a chance!!
I would love to watch some of the really old ones, but it can be difficult to find them. Does anyone have any…
there is one website whose goal is to compile very old dramas. Even though some links are dead, there are a lot available: https://raredoramas.ga/page/downloads . I also have torrent packs for old jdramas, if there is anything specific you want just tell me and I'll see if I can help :)
Thanks for the article, it was very helpful! The truth is that I prefer old jdramas from the late 90s / early 00s, kdramas for the 2010s, and nowadays I'm more into cdramas. No matter how much I love old jdramas, I pretty much agree with what was said about them fading away from the most popular spot as soon as South Korea kept up with the quality and accessibility, even though I recently read that Japan is starting to be more open to international audiences when it comes to their contents
This was really good, def one of the best Kurosawa Kiyoshi movies. I liked the way loneliness and depression are depicted. In fact, I would say the movie is not the conventional kind of horror: there are no jumpscares even though the unsettling vibe is there throughout the whole movie; I'd rather say the horror component relies on making the watcher realize how terrifying loneliness can be for both, the living and the dead. The discussion should go further from the apparent terror and the use of technology in the movie
I found myself watching this with a smile on my face, wishing it never ended. Watched the whole drama in a week but I regret binge-watching even though it was hard to resist... I have yet to find a drama that transmits such sincere emotions. A timeless essential!!
It was a waste of cast, but I enjoyed it regardless; not as bad as some people said imo. There are some parts that can be very triggering, but it's not hard to watch overall.
This movie is so good, but unfortunately criminally underrated. It won the Best Picture Award at the 1998 Hong Kong Film Awards along with 13 other wins.. which says a lot. You have to give it a chance!!
Only the finale, which was already filmed, is left, and I just want to say that I really liked this season. The return of the champions, the division of the teams, and the chair system were great ideas that worked very well. The final group line-up was already leaked and spread by the Korean media in an attempt to discredit Jessica, but I am very happy with the final ranking as well. Everyone did a great job, including the staff. Congrats on the greatest SWMW season so far!!
this wasn't what I was expecting. I appreciate the partial visibility and the attempt to make people feel what a trans person has to go through, but I felt like the movie doesn't really deal with that issue as serious as it should. also, there are a lot of, let's call it misconceptions, about gender and sexuality, that not only I've seen in the movie but also in some reviews and even in the movie's synopsis. our protagonist doesn't desire to be a woman, our protagonist IS a woman.
I thought this movie was about the HUGE and brave step and process for a trans person to come out in a horribly transphobic society, but it was more about gangsters. I appreciate the attempt and how the movie depicts some hardships our protagonist has to go through. cha sung woo did a great job but unfortunately that wasn't enough for the movie to do justice to the transition process at all. it was more like just a gangsters movie
Just give it a try, the movie is REALLY GOOD. It is true that there is nothing remarkable about it but I think that's the point of the movie. Just a cute story of two people. The photography, script, acting, and music were OUTSTANDING. I really liked it, directly to my fav movies list!!
I don't get the low ratings at all. The movie was really good, but maybe not for everyone, I guess. I actually have not watched a movie that portrays the good and the bad things of a couple so well. The acting was outstanding, the script was really smart and the direction was nearly perfect. Give it a try if you like these kinds of movies!! def essential!!
For those wondering, the drama was originally scheduled for 10 episodes, but TV Asahi decided to end the drama with 9 episodes due to poor ratings. This is a pity because the drama had a solid plot, pace, and cast
this season's premiere was beyond my expectations... everyone is talented and truly capable of showcasing their skills. also na ying and ning jing back in the show surprised me but I love their roles
