this! this! not to mention... hye-yeong didn't even "like her" in a deep, profound way. he saw her at work. followed…
exactly! it's so much worse than chasing after a (baseless) crush... HY fans defend it as "karma" or taking back what was his (which is stupid, she's not an object...) but... it's so wrong? they were in love and their break-up was hard on sunoh. hy knows he's still not over jojo, yet... went after her? there's no excusing that. he was aware of how heartbroken sunoh was and still is. it does not compare in any way to sunoh asking him (numerously) if he liked jojo (who he never talked to) and going after her after HY said no
some people are saying that sun-oh stole jojo from hye yeong but the thing is sun-oh asked hye yeong many times…
this! this! not to mention... hye-yeong didn't even "like her" in a deep, profound way. he saw her at work. followed her. didn't talk to her...
sun-oh still asked him many times if he liked her, despite the fact hye-yeong and jojo had NO real connection.
sun-oh and jojo DATED... and hye-yeong still went after jojo again despite knowing sun-oh was not over her. i'd say he's the one who betrayed his friend... not sun-oh. all for a girl he really didn't know.
I'm just watching this drama because of Kim Young dae and Yeonwoo, I'm excited to see when will they meet each…
i don't think they'll end up together (sadly) with only a few episodes left, which is unfortunate because KYD and YW would make a stunning visual couple and both of their characters deserve more than just being filler characters (even though CSH has a little more importance). plus they're the same age... the directors fumbled this chance!
i thought mr. ma and kyj would have been ex-lovers, so yet again the twist caught me by surprise! it seemed as if he was protecting her all this time, but it looks like he just wanted to plot revenge his own way...?
still unsure about the BSJ case. it's obvious the manager is lying about being the culprit, but i'm wondering if we're being intentionally mislead into thinking KYJ was actually involved / threatened him not to say anything.
i was disappointed the past 2-3 episodes on the devleopment with KMR. i love yeonwoo dearly and was super excited to see her get a big role in a drama like this, but i really hate that she's been given a filler role as someone hopelessly pining for a married man. but it looks like she has an abusive famous ex...? based on the end of the episode and the preview for the next episode. so, hopefully that will give her another storyline and some more depth but i have a feeling it will just be more reason to put her around HWS. pretty disappointed that her character isn't anything more than a filler character... i'd rather her be a crazy mistress at this point lol. it'd be more depth than just... a girl pining over a married man she's interacted with like 5 times. honestly, they should have just made CSH and KMR have a secondary storyline. youngdae and yeonwoo are the same age and both very attractive rising stars, so it would have been nice to see. at least CSH has more of an interesting role :(
still really enjoying this drama! i like the intentional misleading the writers do. it keeps me on my toes! my only complaints are about KMR being poorly written lol
i actually really look forward to mi rae's scenes bc i like yeonwoo, but from a storytelling pov i have literally…
oh god, i felt this so much. i have been looking forward to this drama since it was announced because i was so excited to see yeonwoo take on a bigger role in a darker drama but... i hate that she's been given this hopeless pining role for a married man. i would much rather her character turn to be crazy and obsessive about him since it'd make more sense than her just.... being hopelessly in love and naive over a few small encounters. i still look forward to them because i enjoy her and her acting, but i can't lie that i'm disappointed with her storyline. hopefully with the twist at the end of ep 10, we get to see and learn more about mi rae!
It's actually the opposite, it's unpredictable for me and i watched a lot of crime and mystery dramas and tv shows…
me too! i think the parts that people are calling "predictable" are (most likely) the parts that are intentionally misleading. i personally don't think the drama has given us hints to who the murderer is. i think we're intentionally being misled and i think it's exciting! i kind of wish it was released all at once because waiting for it every week feels so long. i always wanna know more!
kang yeojoo is great. i love how stoic she is and i love that they showed us her vulnerable side the last episode. someone compared her to ko munyeong from IONTBO - i think that's a really good comparison. she's made me laugh a lot and i felt so much for her last episode when it showed the flashback.
also for commenters who have said they're confused on the "political element"... it's not a political drama simply…
exactly! we are halfway through and most dramas would have revealed a key point to the mystery by now, but we're still guessing who could be involved. it's exciting to me. i'm not a fan of dramas that wrap up mysteries super quickly just to focus on relationships or subplots, so i'm really pleased with this progression and want to know more so badly. i love the FL too. i love that she's dimensional - we got to see some of her emotional side the last episode and i loved it. i've seen mixed opinions on her, but i like seeing colder and more stoic FLs.
*** soft spoilers below ***i really have no idea why there are so many comments criticizing this drama for being…
also for commenters who have said they're confused on the "political element"... it's not a political drama simply because a character thinks about having a career within politics. if it was political, we would be seeing more politics than we do mystery - and more political figures than just HSW and his consultant. also, it isn't uncommon for lawyers to turn to a career in politics. many political figures have a background in law, so it's not that confusing to me that he would consider that field especially as a lawyer who is well-known with a clean reputation among the nation.
i really have no idea why there are so many comments criticizing this drama for being "slow" or "predictable" or dragging on when there's so many mysteries that have been left unsolved... i like the subtle dark comedy sprinkled within each episode and i don't think everything is as "predictable" as it seems. i think FL knows about ML's cheating and is feigning obliviousness for a chance to take her proper revenge. i don't believe FL, ML, or the manager are involved in the crime, either.
as much as i don't want FL and ML ending up together, i don't know how i feel about FL and kim young-dae's character. i do like their chemistry, but i like their chemistry the way it is now. i don't know if i would like a romance between them.
i'm really curious to why the NIS director is protecting FL... does anyone have any guesses?
sidenote: i really want to see more of go mi rae. yeonwoo is BEAUTIFUL in this drama and it is a refreshing role for her. she has been typecasted in the past due to her former career as an idol, but she can act quite well and i'm glad to see her playing someone more quiet and mysterious versus the usual typecasting of a loud, pretty, whiney girl. she's not an idol anymore and it's about time people start treating her like an actress, so i'm glad she is being given more serious roles now!
