So, I read the novel, as I promised I'd do, and y'all 1) it's marvellous 2) it's true what they say—people aren't born cruel or evil. Reminded me of a conversation ages ago, back when I was a kid, an older person told me they hadn't met any gay, who was metally healthy. My first thought was—how in the world would their sick attitude towards people who are different, create a healthy person to begin with.
I am surrounded by many dear friends from mainland China, and girls, as always, tend to be the biggest supporters.…
I haven't seen the original novel, but in the translated version there's a (presumably authors) note at the beginning of the whole story: "~ My story is dedicated to everyone who have entered my life, those who stayed and those who left. One of my favorite poet said: “There is a story, the one and only story that deserves to be told in its entirety.” To me, this is exactly what I need to tell. ~" As a wannabe-writer myself, I absolutely agree that we tend to have one story, one important message to pass on into the world. I agree it's possible author wrote from their experience.
Being a gay man in China, the greatest pressure doesn’t come from the fact that others might treat you differently…
This hits hard. I do feel that some cultural / location specific differences do go over our heads. Thanks for sharing this! I wish people across the world would talk to each other more, but I guess we can also silently continue supporting and rooting for each other to be accepted and understood as we are ❤️
he turned ok... but that does not excuse his behaviour....
Nah, nah, relatively despicable guy, but definitely not the most despicable in the history of BL 😆 A guy from LS trumps him hard 😅 the novel is more brutal than the show, don't read 😅
This is BY FAR the best romance show humankind has ever created, and I've seen a bunch from all kinds of places. Thank you for the special episode, for giving us more of the happily-ever-after! ❤️ This show (& the novel's story) fixed a lot of annoying things I hate that usually occur in dark romance novels&shows. God bless the creators, writers, directors, camera crew, the actors, drivers and everyone involved. What a goddamn masterpiece's been created 😭 the special has me in tears still
When I started this, I didn't know BillyBabe & at some point there were so many shows to watch, so I kinda put this one on hold at ep 6. Now that I've continued watching the show—it blows my mind what an insanely good actor Babe is. He got me fooled! I always thought he was... dunno, manly, I guess 😁 Wth, irl he's not like that at all 😄 What is this magic??? Babe is insane, give that man a hundred awards, put BillyBabe into every single show. Watching the show second time around—I totally appreciate it more.
Would it be possible for you to elaborate more on why Pete and Krit broke up from the novel?
Different priorities in life. An ordinary break-up, Pete chose his career over Krit. Not nice, but also understandable when you're young. I guess not dramatic enough for a tv show 😅
Okay, firstly—holy shia, Poom learned to pole dance for the show?! That man is a legend. Up is still an insane actor, manages to be fierce or timid, cold or cute—the skills! Their pairing is a gift from the gods 😄 Secondly, show's still better than the novel, going strong, love that they added more police-related-work-stuff. The novel kinda forgot half-way that it was about police, lol. Thirdly, I do think that the break-up between Pete n Krit in the book was more realistic, here they made Pete evil and to elevate a plot you gotta try to stay away from one-dimentional villains. Oh, and 1000 points to the genius, who came up with the scenes where Krit unapologetically adopts his son 😁 Wayu giving sulking wife vibes. Golden comedy mixed witg heartwarming feels. Altogether, what a damn masterpiece
