I thought he would stick out more as an adult in high school, but damn all them students are in their late 20s…
Right? He looked just so mature and adult and all it takes is to snatch him a uniform. They didn't even need to change his hair.... Literally they only touched his closet and suddenly he perfectly blends in xDDDD It's an Asian thing eeh π π
I'm just starting episode 3 and daaaaaamn it's amazing! I'm so happy that I gave this a shot... and incredibely…
I was still thinking if I should or if I should not.... Then I thought ok might aswell try atleast first 2 eps. Now I don't know how will I survive the waitingπ π
I mean of course it has some silly scenes and one of them, soon after the beginning of ep1 (karaoke) almost drove me away.... But I continued and thaaank god I did.
ML's acting is so damn brilliant, and all in all it really is funny and actually makes me laugh. The plot is intriguing, pacing is perfect... there's barely a moment when I'm "bored". And side characters seem fine so far, too. I don't want to get you prematurely hyped, but as far as I got it's really great. There are some serious topics, but it doesn't kill the overall comedy. Fingers crossed ππ€
FL is behaving disgustingly. She married another man for shares. Ok thatβs her right to marry whoever she wants…
Finally someone who's on the same boat with me π π At the first encounter with ML and FL's current husband it seemed like he'd be the jerk who probably bullied ML in high school. But that was like...the only moment and ever since then he just seemes genuine af???π
I am glad it's of 16 eps..really tired of watching 8 ep dramas. I'll watch this after some more eps are releases
Wow I didn't even notice that at first haha. I thought automatically that it'd be 12 as most these days. I agree 8 is not enough. However I can't imagine what kind of plot twists they're about to drag for 16 eps here.
Rest in Peace.I never watched a show where she was a main female lead but I came across a YT video by Mujin called…
I watched Nobody Knows where she played the young version of FL in flashbacks, and then I also saw her in Bloodhounds, though I didn't like her character there. And many scenes of hers in Bloodhounds specifically have been edited out so that she doesn't appear on screen as much as she was originally supposed to if i'm not mistaken. Korea is manic crazy with this stuff.
I can't believe that i'm finding out about this just now.... poor girl. π°
That's why I find the showbiz rules in SK insane... let's treat someone who drove a car under influence the same way as if they mass murdered someone. Let's make them a pariah and end their public life and any ounce of chance for a career for good.... Whereas in USA we have...let's see... ex convicts, drug users, drug dealers, bullies and addicts, sect members, yet the world and screen belong to them. Don't get me started on SK's favorite guilty by association. Despicable life ruining nonsense.
Hmm so.... how much of that dorky type of comedy is this...? π π
Mmm...let's say... when a 40 y.o. character makes expressions like a baby which is meant to be funny and cute... or when two adults yell at each other like two teenagers, or overall the infantilization of adult characters for the sake of an awkward humor. π€For example when I watched first 2 episodes of Queen of Tears I found the way ML acted "dorky" and infantile π or both FL and ML in Doctor Slump. In some cases it works, in some cases it doesn't. And I personally just don't prefer it π I do like comedies, that's fine, only if that cringe type of humor isn't too much.... like in recent drama Unmasked i think it was mostly ok. Although seeing your watchlist I'm not sure you've seen any of those. I can't think of a better way to explain at the moment sorry ππ₯
Actually in never watched a weekend drama before, so this would be my first time if I end up diving in! π
seems like 16 eps era is gone...all dramas are now 12 eps..is it nay law or something?
I always felt like 90 % of dramas I watched ended the important stuff around 12th episode and the remaining 4 eps were just a stretch to fill the gaps with forced twists and plotlines coming out of nowhere anyway.... or suddenly something happened that made you feel like you're watching a different drama. It always felt boringly long to me and 12 episodes always felt like the main story is wrapped up already whereas from 13 ep onward it felt like a different story, usually dragging the quality down on top of that. Atleast to my experience.
I mean of course it has some silly scenes and one of them, soon after the beginning of ep1 (karaoke) almost drove me away.... But I continued and thaaank god I did.
