Title The Witch
When the hell are they going to stop releasing dramas 2-3 years after they've been shot? The kdrama was shot in…
I have a better question. ๐Ÿฅธ When are they going to STOP with the "old love of my life from high school/childhood that I never stopped loving till this day when i'm almost 40" tropes. ๐Ÿ˜ฉ

I feel.... a weight suddenly being lifted... ๐Ÿ˜ณ๐Ÿ˜ฏ No, really. Those things are just frustrating. Sometimes it can be done right.... but.... mostly not ๐Ÿ˜‚

Oh thank god!!! thank you for replying. I like the premise but the "you were my first love ever since we were kids" is one of my least sufferable tropes.... And I really got scared this would turn into two brothers being both in love with their sister and fighting for her attention??? even when they're not biologically related they still were raised as siblings and even without those circumstances I just don't want to watch 16 hours of indecisiveness ๐Ÿ˜… thanks! ๐ŸŒธ

Do I have to watch Stranger S1 and S2 first so I can understand the Dongjae story, or is it different story?
The story is different and technically self-reliant. However you might not completely understand his character..... they make quite a lot of references to his past actions here and there or his past experiences + you'd rob yourself of the character developement. OR you can watch this first and then decide if you like the atmosphere and vibe enough to watch Stranger too. His character portrayal is amusing enough, but it's hard to say if without watching the previous content you'll understand his conflict, even though they try to imply it enough, so my guess is they also count on first-time audience ๐Ÿ˜Š

I was thinking just the same thing.
Yes well the main problem was just communication, on both parts, again... And as for the ratings I totally agree, I myself gave it an 8 (and for me that's the rating I give to a drama I did enjoy and like) but wouldn't go any lower that's crazy :(( people just fail to look at it objectivelly

Do you think the reason for breakup was enough? They always do this, first they make the love story grand and unparalleled…
I was thinking just the same thing.

guys is this worth watching?? some new concept or repetitive one?
It's definitely worth it. In the first two or three episodes there's a pattern of court trials and the FL trying to catch the sinners, sending them to hell. BUT that is needed for us to understand what she's after and that it's initially her only priority, so that we can watch her go through a developement (and there IS a developement). I think the contrasting values of the two main characters clash really well here and it's nice to watch them merge and actually influence one another. It's not your typical trope of FL and ML with opposite personalities that we've seen a million times... It's actually quite originally made here and very quickly it becomes more than just black and white. It's quite the grey tone.

Judging from episode 1 I thought this was going to be very cheap and dull script .... But I was reaaaaally nicely surprised and I'm hooked, down bad ๐Ÿ˜ญ I can even overlook the stupid humor sometimes because the main plot won't let me sit still.

That being said, it's still upto you and if it ends up not being to your liking, nobody can pester you for it. ๐Ÿ™

Apparently it's related to Stranger. What?? Also has Park Sung Woong one of my fav actors. Maybe i should give…
Yes it's a spinoff about a side character from Stranger, a corrupted prosecutor ๐Ÿ˜„ I highly recommend watching all the connected series

Title What Comes after Love Spoiler
Losing hope that theyโ€™ll end up together ๐Ÿฅฒ Just *communicate* already! pleeease.
They'd have to WANT to communicate. Jungo tries to approach Hong but she just shuts him down repeatedly... I hate these dialogue tropes on TV where they just walk around the topic but never cut to the chase because even when one participant tries to ... the other one just says something like "I don't need you to explain it, I don't need to hear it, too much time has passed, we're different now..." like, yes, EXACTLY, you're different, that's the point. You should be adults who are capable of mature conversation now..... whyyy ๐Ÿ˜ซ

I am trying so hard to see who is wrong here and damn๐Ÿฅบ๐Ÿฅบ๐Ÿฅบ
They both are ๐Ÿ˜• However, I missed on how old they are actually? ๐Ÿค” how old were the characters when she came to Japan and what age are they now?

I must say that it's hard for me to relate to her in the moment where she demands he quits his part time jobs. I know she just had an unpleasant experience + injured her leg and she wanted him there. But how can she blame him for not picking up his phone when he's busy at work and complain that he's working so much... Nobody is clairvoyant and can't know that something urgent is happening by accident. He needs job to finish his studies. And his problem is the lack of communication and taking too many things for granted. They don't communicate their desires and she particularly seemed rather childishly ignorant towards his in that scene. ๐Ÿ˜•

Genuinely, how much of that typical cringe humor does this have?Thing is I really like the cast, I'm already familiar…
I didn't say anywhere that nobody who loves it can't watch it. I think my comment was as polite as could be and I don't see where I'm attacking anyone, I am asking for an opinion to see if what I personally don't like about dramas is present there. I didn't say anything against people who like it and enjoy it, I haven't even watched it myself yet and even if I don't enjoy a drama that doesn't mean it can't be good for others. That is strictly subjective ๐Ÿ˜€ I don't see a single reason for your offended response. I'm saying I like the actors and that so far it has positive feedback and people saying it's good and healing. How does that have anything to do with me hating that people love it or that they can't watch it?

I see what you mean. I watched the main actor on DP and While you were sleeping and I really liked his performance there. I'm here also for Yun Ji On (I believe that's the 2ML) I know he can pull off good stuff... But I never watched him on a rom-com before as I generally just don't watch that genre. Thriller or crime drama is much more to my preference. And just like you said, even in those one can find a good amount of well balanced darkness/tension and warmth and "emotionall coziness" if done right.... as much weird as that sounds....

I got somewhat used to the clean faces by now, though it doesn't mean it stopped standing out to me. I just adjusted myself. However, I really am not a fan of dense conversation that is made just to ensure two characters staying in contact and seemingly creating a bond. A bond can be created with a meaningful interaction which actually goes somewhere, and not an empty dialogue. Well I'll give it a shot, usually I have my 3-5 episode rule where I drop it or put on hold if it doesn't make me immersed by that 5th episode.... So I guess I'll see ๐Ÿ˜…

Yes, the scene that you point out is pretty much that kind of humor I had in mind, or atleast one factor of it. Don't misunderstand please, I don't have anything against comedy and sometimes awkward situations can be presented well ๐Ÿ˜ But when it comes to mindless screaming and being hysterical just for the sake of it โ€“ as many dramas even nowadays still do, unfortunately โ€“ then it's harder for me to digest ๐Ÿ˜… I watched Killer Paradox, and as you say, I didn't mind it there at all. Also in First Responders for example... it's just one I can think of instantly. A bad example for me personally is Welcome to Samdalri. Now I know that the drama is well loved by many and I don't want to take it away from anyone. But for me personally I couldn't watch Shin Hye always acting out and sobbing like a Kid every 5 minutes of every episode.... That's the kind of moments which are meant to convince me to sympathize with her, but it's a turn off instead.
