Hi I'd love to recco some SOLID C-Dramas to you after I check out you Kdrama faves ;-p

I started C-Dramas last August (2023) and have hardly watched maybe 1 or 2 KDrama since.
I was initiated to Kdrama during Covid Lockdown days in May 2020 and there was no looking back since then, 3 full years of ONLY Kdrama.

Then Aug 2023 I moved to C-Drama Pond. I was SO surprised to FIND so many gems unexpectedly. I guess my first contact with CDrama was LUCKY ..

~ Hidden Love (was my first)
~ Lighter and Princess (my second)

So you can imagine .. LIGHTER & PRINCESS was unforgettable for me .. ALL time TOP drama.

I avoid ANY and ALL previews and knowing anything in advance of dramas that I am watching and LOVING to DEATH.

I am one of those people who stick their index finger tightly in their ears and scrunch up my eyes .. lest I catch any word that spoils it for me ..

I don't even get on this thread once the Drama drops at Dramacool .. Because I might catch a stray word ;-p

I am praying the story stays REAL and whatever ending they move towards should stay HONEST to the development of the story.

So many kinds and levels of open ending have happened in so many dramas .. AND we have loved it inspite of it .. and OFTEN BECAUSE of it.
Unconventional ending of a SOLID top notch Romance drama stays seared in our minds because of the way it ends, Some of them IMO are :

SPOILER ALERT for those WHO DO NOT WISH TO HEAR ABOUT WHICH DRAMAS had Unusual Endings ;-p
Some of which TOTALLY worked for me .. and those which left me with "Huh?? WHAT??"

And so many Dramas just kicked us in the SHIN .. because the Drama didn't prime us for such a upending of ALL logic end .. It's too disrespectful and has had me downgrade the rating EVEN though I ENJOYED the RIDE - sometimes too much :-(

Ufff I LOVE THAT DRAMA to death ..
but that ending ripped me to shreds even as I FULLY LOVED the ending that way .. It had prepped us for it .. couldn't have been any OTHER way .. I'd not have loved it so deeply if it wasn't that way.

It wouldn't have lived "RENT-FREE" in my head all these months and months ..

Haven't even dared to do a rewatch of 21-25 I steer clear of it. The Bruising is TOO REAL LIFE.

I think he didn't, in the beginning, at least not in the train .. he was lost in his own world looking out the window.
And she didn't have her crutch and she was a chatty, flirty, extrovert and her looks had changed too.
He must have been used to girls making moves on him .. and getting up and walking away must have been his defence mechanism in those situations.

It was 10 years since he bumped into her.

He must have wracked his brains ..

Maybe they will talk about that train encounter at some later point in the show ;-p
We will get to know then LOL

I think it's way more real and romantic that he was taken by complete surprise, and discomfort LOL

the Netflix one is an Insult to Cixin Liu .. They can only get away with it in a country that worships and understands Star Wars LOL ;-D
