I think they do have great chemistry but there’s not enough screen time of the main couple imo. and the FL … well isn’t in the mood to act like she’s in love, idk 😂

All the things you said are true and that’s exactly what makes her character so stupid. Villainous even . She’s doing the same thing as Hyun Bo - plotting and harming people over a personal grudge. She has no noble reason to want to dethrone the King and send the entire country into chaos by putting a child on the throne.
Maybe the real plot is that she has gone mad and lost her wits after her father was taken , idk how the writers are going to redeem her

I think the writers themselves don’t know what the actress is supposed to be expressing lol
I can honestly just watch Lee In without the FL, I think his conflict is very interesting and his storyline could stand in its own , even without a love interest. Not to mention that the actor is acting the hell out of it

So she is committing high treason, risking people’s lives and the stability of an entire nation cause he hasn’t apologised??

I feel the same. It could have become one of my favourite historical dramas ever . But oh well I’ll wait

But then why has she pulled all those people into her fake revenge plan? Just to fool and betray them later when she reunites with Lee I ? It doesn’t make sense

Agree, if she pulled an Empress Ki and returned as a woman that would have made so much more sense. She could become the king’s consort and execute her (unmotivated) revenge. So far her plan just looks stupid.

I do hope there’s a plan for her to punish the real bad guys that hasn’t been revealed yet. I want them to salvage her character while there are still episodes left

That’s my biggest problem with this drama. Her personal grudge simply doesn’t seem like reason enough to dethrone the King and harm multiple people along the way. Just makes her come off as petty . To be objective, how is she even better than Hyun Bo who also destroyed people over personal grudges?

I really want to love and enjoy this drama because the ML is so great, the leads have chemistry and the plot is interesting
BUT
There’s a giant flaw - Mong Woo doesn’t have any real motive to want to dethrone Lee In. She simply doesn’t. She doesn’t even ever look visibly mad or upset at him, she is just absolutely and utterly in love with him every second she’s on screen. It would have been somewhat plausible if Lee In was the reason her father was made a prisoner. But he’s not and she knows it. Hence, her plans of dethronement and everything she does seems unnecessary and even stupid 😭
The scriptwriter did her character dirty, please give her some real reason to hate the King, cause otherwise her plan has no logic or reason
