Yes, but the actor is getting older too. (I’m thinking there would only be a short time skip.) Besides, the suggested actor is younger, so I don’t really understand the choice. Also, from what I’ve observed, people don’t change that drastically. I even find it a bit odd when they cast different actors to play the high school versions of main leads who are in their 30s or 40s. (Side note: I haven’t read the webtoon.)

For example, if you look at the Oscar-nominated films of the 1990s, many of them were truly outstanding and the competition was very strong. It’s harder to say the same about today’s films, so when a good film is released, everyone tends to hype it quite a lot. I also agree with you on this: series that receive 8 or 9 points today often feel weaker to me than series that received 7 points in the past.

I think; on contrary it became really rare too see mature veteran actors. Most TV series feature actors in their twenties in leading roles, and a new actor emerges every day, as if there's a consumer frenzy going on; And they're the only ones who act in TV series, they're the only ones we see. I really miss some older actors and want to see familiar faces, more mature people's life rather than some adolescences's.
