I think the reason why so many people think it's overrated is because it got all the hype(literally winning everything) that later shadowed other dramas people thought were better. To me, it would be more fair if other dramas as good(It's Okay, That's Love; Pinocchio; Healer) in that year would also get that amount of popularity, or at least almost as much.
Don't get me wrong I really like this drama, but it is SO overrated!
The drama still had it's flaws and I found that it was still a somewhat typical love story. I enjoyed it but I wasn't 100% satisfied, more like a 95%. I've seen better dramas this year. I know I'm only on my 6th drama, but out of those 6 I would say that YWCFTS is my 3rd or 4th favorite. Also 4/6 of those dramas aired in 2014.
