I bet the monsters came from the experiments of those evil Japanese military...(For who don't know, Japan is the…
sorry, that goes to russia throughout all of its history, especially soviet union. japan doesn't even come close. then there is of course nazi germany and fucked up states like ISIS, and don't let me tl;dr you about chinese history
you are however right that the monsters are obviously gonna be because of the japanese in this show, just because it's a korean production set during japanese occupation.
I enjoyed watching the FL (both because she's elegant and gorgeous but also because of her determined personality)…
She got manipulated by nothing short of a narcissistic pos. She did however do two things wrong. Just two, but enough to give nothing short of a visual novel style bad end where all things fall apart and all that's left is to load an older save and make different choices at key moments.
The first thing Heran did wrong was giving in to the feelings she knew are a weakness. But possibly because of all the stress she was under, or maybe because of some hidden desire to believe in the power of love she gave in to these feelings. This has ruined her. Where once she was strong because she knew she can only relay on herself, she outsourced parts of her very self to Taewook and couldn't piece herself together again, becoming dependent on him emotionally.
Second thing she did wrong was compromising her values to achieve victory. Like she herself said, at certain point when she was under a lot of pressure she stopped planning, just kept fighting, looking for openings and having at it. Thus she lost the bigger picture. In the end, the truth, the very thing she always fought for got obscured by her very own hand. In one of the final dialogs she asks Jang "But what about the truth" and he answers "Without evidence, this is the truth". Well guess who was going out of her way to destroy the evidence for 16 episodes straight?
At that point she could no longer do anything. There was no evidence left to prove Taewook was the killer. There was nothing she could do to prevent innocent man from getting death sentence, and as for Taewook, he was always weak and melodramatic so he of course couldn't live with all that and chose the easy way out. Thus Heran was left alone, with not even her values and morals to shield her from hardships of existence itself.
edit: oh, this will be a total out of character crack but I guess there is one other thing she might have done better. If, from the beginning, she was focused on more then just defending herself and proving her innocence. If she tried to earnestly solve the case herself and find the culprit....if she saw detective Kang as potential ally and not another obstacle and honestly told him she had an affair with Kevin Lee, he might have realized the jealous husband is the prime suspect earlier. But that's just crack what if from my side, because Ko Heran wouldn't be herself if she was this trusting.
dunno, but in this particular case she literally told him even before they married she doesn't love him and it's…
because he killed kevin lee and she took the blame for his crime, and that was perfect opportunity for that coward to play a hero and manipulate her into loving him
Whats with Korean drama I have seen this pattern when husband cheat than its revenge time or someone else come…
dunno, but in this particular case she literally told him even before they married she doesn't love him and it's just a business partnership, so he has no one but himself to blame for entering such contract and getting buttblasted when she did what she said she will
anyway, if you want a drama with evil cheater fl watch "reflection of you", if you want good cheater ml watch "hymn of death"
I don't like historical Kdramas.... don't know why I just had like Faith or Fate? maybe it's the wardrobe?
same, I don't like them, I prefer chinese historical dramas. I also don't know what the issue seems to be. Perhaps because the character act too modern, and according to modern values? But then nothing stops me from simply labeling it as fantasy and enjoying it as such. Maybe because the scope and scale of events isn't high enough most of the time?
then there is of course nazi germany and fucked up states like ISIS, and don't let me tl;dr you about chinese history

How did they screw it up this badly? I wanted to watch it after it finishes airing but now rather then being curious I'm morbidly curious
it's great
it's even better then in move to heaven
Also, she changes her outfits several times each episode, I lost count. She must have a wardrobe of a size of entire apartment.
