I for once am glad I was born a girl and don't have to serve in the military.
no one has to serve in the military, there are many ways to avoid military service, you can change gender, you can get a criminal record, you can get a mental illness diagnosis or start doing drugs, you can even straight out refuse and what are they gonna do? that's part of the theme of this show as well. they didn't have to keep up with the bullying either, they could fight back but they didn't, they held it in until they snapped.
Episodes 5 and 6 sent this show into the gutter for me. Completely farcical writing, utterly deplorable characterisations.
so you watch a story about bullying, and then you complain that characters are deplorable? What? what were they supposed to be portrayed as, nice people?
I'm on episode 4 and one question keeps coming back to me. Is it really that serious what happens during military…
I had a friend who served compulsory draft time in korean military, and he didn't tell me about anything of the sort happening during his term. Also, they had a military doctor and they would even prescribe him psychiatric medication for his stress disorder while he was serving.
In the end, because of his mental issues, he was deemed unfit to serve and discharged early.
I don't doubt that a lot of bad shit happens in korean military, like in every military, especially where compulsory conscription is a thing. If there weren't such issues, this drama wouldn't have been made. At the same time, I think it's a stretch to say all korean soldiers experience this kinda shit.
three episodes in and it feels like absolute nonsense. at this point, I don't really care about the supposed cliffhanger ending because I feel like dropping it already
I watched this drama twice, the first time I paused it and thought it was really good, got back to it almost two…
Obviously he's a self insert for lonely otakus, plenty of such titles in anime and manga. Lonely society filled with lonely and horney men who consume a lot of media, and media panders to them.
actually, I think it could have ended on a happy note.
if in the final epside heeju talked to her family and didn't lie to them again and try to hide the body alone they'd get a happy end together. but she chose to lie, again, and that's why it ended how it ended.
Betrayal, hurt, forgiveness - this is the essence of this drama, it oscilliates around these themes the whole…
yes, they were all selfish
especially heeju, who in the end selfishly lied to and abandoned her family, causing them much suffering....to atone for her sins of lying and abandoning her family before. she then thinks herself some kind of noble martyr, and even hears the bells in the end which implies she thinks her soul was purified by self-imposed exile....lool
I don't think it was ever stated in the drama. Maybe people here can provide some theories as to the reason why.
I think she was shocked because she thought he's still bulgasal, so when she stabbed him and suddenly she got a soul and became mortal it was quite a surprise
She didn't know the kid she saved was him, she lived on a nearby mountain and just saved a kid cause she has a thing for saving kids.
Hated her in vincenzo, but maybe that's because of her character and a "comedic" and "quirky" writing that forced her to act retarded most of the time. The actress might be actually good, and the synopsis of Glitch seems interesting.

prostitutes earn much more money than people working minimal wage jobs, so that's why they chose that path

"oh noo, we aren't a couple teee heee heee....unless?"
