In the first 10 eps, she's giving Stepford/Uncanny Valley vibes, whilst he's so NPC coded. I hope that's the whole point, and everything becomes more natural/gets fleshed out after the lies are exposed.

Sometimes, actors seem to be cast into the ether when they are cancelled, and other times, completed projects eventually get broadcast, but they stop being cast in anything new. Seems very rare for actors to have a complete comeback, although it does happen.
