At this rate, the drama will end by this weekend! I thought it was initially releasing episodes Sat-Mon, but now it's 2 eps almost every day now! I wish they didn't cut the drama short and we could get more episodes to see the full depth of the FL and ML characters.
Aside from the plot being rushed and not too heavy, I am enjoying the drama. The leads are cute together and I love the Jinlin guards (they look so regal in their uniform). It's very light hearted and I feel like the drama focuses on their relationship and then the other plots are secondary.
I'm on EP 8. It's like the ancient costume version of Mr. And Mrs. Smith. It's enjoyable and light hearted! I watch it while I'm on the treadmill at the gym. I'm watching on YouTube and it's literal translation.
Surprisingly I am enjoying this drama! I'm on EP 15..FL isn't as bad as everyone says..plus she's a butcher so she's not going to be prim and proper but she's upright and loyal..and while the lead couple has to work on their marriage, their characters are growing and maturing. I do like the supporting characters..they add a bit of quirky to the story. I like how ML is a nerd but he has his own fan following and everyone is on his side even though they don't seem like it. Everyone is out to protect him. Whenever I see ML in a scene with the other male characters, I just think of funny, bro moments between them. The wife is the token girl In a group of dorky, nerdy guys. 😁
I read the comments and people were saying FL is abusive. I'm on EP 9 and while FL does have a tendency to respond with hitting, eventually she grows out of it and stops. They most abused I saw was her slapping him but later eps when she attempts to hit him, she stops or something distracts her and she stops and then she smiles to herself. I like how both leads characters are slowly maturing and they are working together to help solve the county problem. What he lacks, she helps with and what she lacks, he helps her. At this point, they complement each other.
The ending was anticlimactic. I was hoping Grandpa would meet her parents since the drama grandpa was watching paralleled their life. It would've been a kick to see Grandpa and her mom bicker.....or even try their chicken! They could've at least given us one wedding or something.
Pls spoil it for me; Is the amnesia still on? I've put it on hold cos that plot got stretched too much IMO.
Me too. I stopped at 10 and waiting to see comments on when I should pick it back up cause I'm ready for him to get cure lol. 20 more eps of amnesia is too long.
I'm on EP 15 and I don't want it to end so soon! 20 eps is not enough whereas other dramas are 24+ eps and is so draggy! I'm so glad I stumbled across this drama. It's not BL, it's a hint of bromance but it just two guys working well together. It's a refresher from male-female dramas.
