I just finished! I gave this drama a 10 cause it deserves it! I was nervous about ML because he's always been annoying 2ml or 3ml but he rocked it as ML in this drama! Both leads are smart and strategic and they pair well together. The plot is intriguing and engaging, even when it got to the palace politics part, which sometimes I get bored of. Overall a great story and I love the outfits in this dynasty. Outfits and cinematography was beautiful!
Enjoying this drama so far! Both leads are smart and strong and the storyline so far is engaging! I hope they keep it this way and hope the drama gets recognized!
Finally finished and I give it a 10!!!!!!!! It was just not your basic human vs. demons story. It was so deep and moving. The OST added more depth to each scene.....every sad scene was 10x more sad when the music began. I don't normally listen to OST but this one I do! I love the melody of all the songs and how it played a role in specific scenes in the drama. It just heightened the mood. I cried when I needed to and laughed it was the right moment. All the leads and supporting casts played their roles well. The cinematography was beautiful. Love love love!
Omg EP 16 & 17. Haven't teared up in this long over a drama! I did not expect Fangs to be this deep! It's not just another world vs demons drama, well, it is but, so much more! The life lessons, the love and hate dilemma, sisterhood/brotherhood, the emotional toll! And the background music that enhances the mood: one minute you're happy, the next minute you're angst, and then now you're crying.
It's been a while since I've watched a drama with a really good OST! All the songs, even the instrumental BG music, fits perfectly which each scene and enhances the moment. It made the sad moments seem even sadder. Loving all the demon couples and their tragic stories.
I finished! It started off strong. Didn't like the 2nd arc of the story. I feel like they cut out a lot of crown Prince plot cause some parts felt rushed or didn't seem to flow smoothly editing-wise. Wished they focused less on 2nd arc and gave us more of the revenge arc and then ML and FL moments towards the end than just half the final episode. I would still rate the drama a 9.
The 13 yr old screaming like a girl and then rolling down the stairs after seeing Zhu Yan. LMAO! Omg this drama hits all the spots with the slow mos, bg music, cinematography and comedic surprises.
We've all seen rivalries between princes but I don't know if it's because of Liu Xueyi and Baron Chen that makes it's extra....dramatic! Both mature, scheming and passionate with their own desires.
Can you spoil the ending me? Did she get her revenge? What happened to second couple? What about lead couple? I stopped at 11 but debating if I should pick back up or just read spoilers.
This is the first Allen Ren drama I truly enjoyed, and I've watched his other ones and thought they were meh. I think I prefer his character to be dark than idol-like. Anyhow, the story was engaging and kept me wanting more. Landy Li is great as the cute, smart female lead. Jeremy Tsui was a great 2ml until his character changed but that's how good of an actor he is. While there were some flaws in the plot, I truly enjoyed it to overlook it. Just grab some tissues but definitely worth checking out!
Help me get clarity....other than Empress Dowager, there's Prime Minister, Prince Ying and Prince Xian. Who is PM supporting? Both Prince Ying and Xian are against each other?
This might be bad subtitles or translation but the son of the empress dowager is Prince Xian but there's a female king? I just want to understand this dynamic.
