I finished! I gave it a 10! The drama was engaging all the way! All the cases were interesting and weren't too draggy. Yes, there are some cliche palace conflicts s but then it surprised me! I love how the lead couple were both smart and trusting of each other. No unnecessary misunderstanding and just being true partners the entire time!
I finished! I give it a 9. It was intriguing and engaging, though it did have draggy moments and some parts could've been shorter. I enjoyed LXY and MZY performance despite what the masses say. I would like to see an ending for Wuxia and Changjue, like what's next for them even though it's obvious. Overall, I enjoyed the drama.
The trailers for 20-27 got me so nervous but I sucked it up and continued watching. So far it isn't as bad as the trailers make it out to be. Yes, there's the selective amnesia trope, yes there's still the mystery and intrigue and yes, our leads have not gotten together yet. While I am hoping the leads will get over this obstacle and finally get together and work together, it does make sense for two people who have grown up to be cautious to take things slow, even trusting each other. Yes, some parts a bit draggy but I'm still enjoying this drama!
I think deep down she would have liked to establish a real relationship with ML but because she's Meng eldest…
Maybe she admired him at first because he's good looking and smart. But then only for reality to set it and realize it could only be a political marriage as he showed no real interest in a relationship. Maybe the book had details.
I think deep down she would have liked to establish a real relationship with ML but because she's Meng eldest daughter and it was a political marriage, she knew she had to be guarded and couldn't embrace a typical wife role and make ML fall in love with her. She always had to think for the Meng family and be part of their schemes. She couldn't be fully open to ML even if she wanted to.
What filial kids both Meng siblings are! .... Both smart and dignified. Sad they are on the side of greedy clan.…
Agreed! I felt bad when the son was sacrificed, even though he aided that jerk crown prince. I'm sure if he had a choice, he would've done something more productive than aide his greedy cousin. He was smart and filial. Waste of a talent to be sacrificed for the sake of the family reputation.
So the entire 'stuck in the village' arc was pretty much meaningless, it just gave us a bit of village life ala…
I don't think this arc was as draggy as the one in Kill Me Love Me with the village scene. It did provide fourth prince a bit of character development and allowed FL to see a different side of ML, even if it's just small. The one where she assumed he killed Lian but didn't.
I finished. It started off as your typical xianxia with the misunderstandings and the selfless acts but the leads backstory provide depth and legit hatred of FL on ml. We all saw why fl hated ml so much to a point we wanted to switch sides but then we got to see ml side and we switched back, or at least, I did! Both of them suffered!!! The amnesia trope just helped fl softened up a bit. At least I'm glad we didn't get a five-second happy ending and got a decent happy ending.
Apaths are ppl with no empathy and is considered the "bad guys" of society, right?
Who is this Janitor podcast both MLs are listening to?
