Ok. such perfect lead couple. no flaws. no weaknesses = no character development. I just couldn't relate to them at all.
it has a storyline. as others say, the story maybe successive or what (lmao I think almost all dramas are supposed to be successive bc of the different arcs piling up into one whole storyline) but this drama just didn't pull it off. bc of the try hard to squeeze two contradicting genres as one (action and comedy), the solution of the story became illogical which is obv, unrealistic. i mean it was too predictable for me. (ex. omg I know this person will get sick bc obv the other character is too perf to get sick, oh this card they're gonna use this when theyre in trouble, etc)
& wtf how can u pronounce someone dead when u didnt find his or her body????
anyways, it was so exciting when I first saw the earthquake scene. I was like, "omg finally something thrilling about this drama." but after seeing how they just ended the conflict like that, it was too disappointing.
u know that moment when ure riding a rollercoaster and u expect some up and downs? plot twist: u were actually riding a train.
thats how disappointing it was.
hold your gunshots, I enjoyed the humor of this tho.
This drama was okay. The plotline though... The plotline...
It was interesting to watch the disasters here and there, but how they solved the conflicts were extremely unrealistic.
It was too predictable for me who would die, who would get saved, how they would escape the situation, etc. They get solved so easily that throwing random death threatening disasters was getting useless.
If it wasn't for the effort of the setting, props, and costumes, I would've dropped this drama already.
Also... about the romance...
It was mostly SJK who was getting all the praise and not the couple itself. Now I understand why. I did not see some chemistry between the two. In fact, all I see was flirting.
I usually dont like jdramas mostly because of cliched and anime-style acting. This drama was an exception. I can totally say that this is the best jdrama ever! Bonus points also bc of Danno Tatsuya <3
idk why ppl found this drama dull. ireally love the story and all for a slice of life type of drama. those genres actually bore me out but this one had a realistic approach. theres no proper plot but the character development was really strong. their desires, flaws, and motivations had an impact on their choices and behavior that caused the outcome and they also need to watch out for the consequences. theres no plot twists here and there but what I like about this drama is discovering the reason why the character acts this way. and yes, im into psychological stuff that was why I loved it. but then this drama was actually refreshing bc all the psychological dramas I know involved murder. so cheese in the trap was really a refreshing one for a psychological drama.
So... I made an account just so I could say something for this drama. I must spill all myfeels. AND I MUST SAY THIS WILL BE ONE OF THE DRAMAS THAT WILL HAVE A SPOT IN MY HEART. <3 I would rate this drama 9.9 over 10. I love this drama so much. When I first watched this on KBS, I was like "Meh." Yes, I had low expectations. But then, this drama was getting a lot better and better. Plot was so refreshing. It wasn't like any other dramas (like Mask). This drama felt so realistic. (Unlike Mask, it was just too drama and fictional) The story was so well connected to each episodes. Characters were so highly developed. Plus, I sensed some realistic psychopathic personalities on both Min and Joon Yeong. And Hyeon's MBTI Personality type, ENTP (I self-studied psychology) was so on point and accurate. Other than that, acting was so believable for their roles espcially Hyeon's smirk, D.O's devious smile, and Min's-- ugh MIN. I CAN'T EVEN. I got so attached to Min. I swear. That's why, I recommend to everyone who loves psychology, crime, realistic comedic scenes (meaning, not corny at all) a brave heroine, brother love, a nice clever asshole and cute psychopaths *winks* Don't expect romance, but you should try it. You'll never regret it :P

The second couple had more chemistry though.
AND TOTALLY AGREE WITH PARK BOGUM <3
