I wanted to see if anyone knows if they speak a different dialect in this? Like I don't know how to speak or hear…
so basically this a sageuk drama[period drama/historical drama]and is thus based in olden day korea The language used by people living in royal palaces during the dynasty was commonly called "궁중어(宮中語, The Palace language)", and it was a form of extremely respectful words and relative honorific expressions, it would have been different from those expressed in historical dramas and Books. Because historical dramas tend to be considerate of viewers and communicate with each other in most of the dialogue that viewers could understand. if only actual The Palace language is used at that time, there are dozens of languages that viewers can't understand, and each time they have to keep inserting annotation subtitles in the broadcast. it will become quite complicated to understand. Therefore, the portion of language in historical dramas is a proper mix of Royal and modern Korean dialogue. The Palace language consists of Native Korean and Chinese characters and other loanwords from different social and cultural environments. The native language refers to a word that has been used among people for a long time on the Korean Peninsula,(ex. 머리[마리], 소화제[소화반], 버릇없다[상없다]) while the Chinese language refers to a language that has been translated or modified since the Chinese language settled to Korea.(ex. 소식[기별], 눈물[안수], 왕의 초상화[어진]) In addition to these two types, there are cases where Foreign language in the process of being translated into Korean languages was settled in Korea and became a New word. (ex. 수라, 수라상[Sulah, Mongolian])
i think they would come back with season atleast im hoping for it cause voice 3 left us with quite the open ending so hopefully there is a season 5 with maybe a romance line or something
yeah..its what i did i just briefly skimmed over most of season 2,3 whenever i had time. but i think season 1 would be good to watch before starting the forth season cause of all the introductions and all..plus mo tae gu

do you really think victim shaming doesnt happen is real life..people believe only what they want to believe and plus if someone hasnt been through a particular situation they obviously wouldnt know the sensitivity of it.

i know you might have probably forgot you wrote this comment....but mei was kidnapped and most probably asaulted too because they never really mentioned what exactly happened to her....she was around the age of 5 or 6 if i remember correctly. her classmates at that age would have been very impressionable and may not have been able to comprehend what exactly happened...in my opinion the drama was very thought out

not something i pondered over much cause maybe tum changes his hairstyle or got a bit thinner...it isnt that unusual to forget people..im 21 and cant recognize people from highschool...people change

i think its the other way around, maybe something traumatic happened to gene...and because of the trauma of that he forgot most of his childhood including sib.....i recently watched a kdrama and one of the main characters had a similiar storyline....but most probably i think they wont make it all that dark because the series in itself seems much lighter..plus i dont think they'll be able to execute that kinda thing well because of the lack of episodes and explaining the drama with aey and mhok........although a part of me is hoping they'll make it seem darker most probably they'll just brush it under the carpet or something
was i the only one who was kinda disappointed with the whole gao shi de going to the usa and shu yi's father "threatening" them to break up situation in general...cause they built it up so much just for it be a bit comical in my opinion...or maybe or it was just the execution i waited 2 months for this..really....i'm not hating on the show because the the first season was a gem...the romance and artistic quality is amazing and all the reading between the lines for scenes is chef's kiss.....maybe if they made the situation seem a tad bit darker it might more sense and don't get me started on the stereotypical getting drunk and forcefulness cause that was something i just wasn't ready for....even it was just kissing he should'nt have forced it plus the couch thing...i was just frustrated with the last two episodes.. cause it went from bad to worse i hope the redeem themselves well
