Unique and relatable

Both female lead and male lead are relatable like Hanae losing confidence and avoids opening up to others, while Ashida having talent but losing his passion that he used to have, leaving both of them stuck in their comfort zones until they meet each other. Some people might feel like they lacks chemistry, but honestly, it feels pretty realistic. It’s exactly how two people who weren’t that close would act when trying to build a meaningful relationship. A good relationship doesn’t have to rely on physical intimacy or constant flirting to feel real. I like that they are “gloomy introvert x cheerful introvert” couple. It shows that there are different type of introverts.

I really appreciate that the movie avoids overused cliché like a love triangle showdown, a big fight, or unnecessary rivalry between the male leads. I was annoyed with the second male lead meddling, but at least they didn’t go with the typical trope where a female character who likes the male lead tries to sabotage the relationship or create misunderstandings. I liked that the story focused more on miscommunication rather than some forced, dramatic misunderstanding.

Also, I appreciate that they didn’t portray getting a disability as the end of the world.
