Or is it like Kill me, love me? I have kept this drama on hold after watching 15 episodes, Idk when I will finish it. Chemistry was good, acting was good but plot was okayish, it failed to keep me hooked to the screen.
I like both liu xueyi and meng ziyi and I am really disappointed that liu xueyi is a great actor but his dramas fall midway, not his fault, he always gives his 100%.
The dramas of liu xueyi which I completed are the lost tomb,love and redemption, The blood of youth, In blossom, and each of these dramas were great from start till end.
Despite some negative critiques here, I decided to watch it and I am glad I did. Crime/investigation is my favourite genre and this drama I loved every bit of it.

Oh! I didn't know how casting was done, but these 4 definitely suited the roles they were given. I heard Deng Wei was a newbie that time, perhaps he did some supporting roles before but I must say that he was the right choice. He was very well able to portray the kind/soft hearted TSJ. His face looks so innocent which was a bonus.
But I definitely want to see him in negative role as well 🤭😈. He has a negative role in one of the drama adopted from Japanese manga but it has some issues, don't know it will ever see the light of the day 😣.
And yes Zhang wanyi is another good actor, he so nicely portrayed the subtle emotions.
Tan jianci was promoted to A list actor after his fame as XL. YZ, nothing to say, she already proved her acting prowess in various dramas, but building chemistry with all 4 leads in the same drama was definitely a feat.

And I didn't feel it like slow, imo the pacing was perfect, and these people who think it was slow would have complained about rushing things up and not building characters, had the director chose the adult leads immediately. How can one enjoy the story without knowing the backdrop?
