I’m re-watching TTEOTM and 1st time rewatch classic Xianxia TMPB at the same time. I swear TTEOTM will go down as classic the same as TMPB & AOL.

My feeling abt TMPB rewatch 3 yr. later, yes CGI is getting old, fights scenes are too funny and not well done, etc….BUT A CLASSIC is A CLASSIC, it is still so good. I remembered why this is one of the best Xianxia and a classic.

Watching TTEOTM side by side with TMPB, I have the same feeling. They both are really GOOD.

I do envy TMPB having much more eps and can flesh out every character and I have to say better casting for supporting roles. But TTEOTM despite suffers from cut eps still have its magnificent costume, CGI, the most beautiful Background setting, Anti Hero character, amazing fight scenes, Dunhuang Gods, and Strong Lead acting esp. LYX with his 6 characters will go down as classic, same with my Bai Qian and Runyu.

What is a really good actor: When you see the character you don’t see the actor and that’s LYX. This is extremely rare in C drama, LIKE EXTREMLY RARE….Usually when you see the characters, you still see the actor, or their habit, like their laugh, their daily speaking tone, their voice, the way they walk etc.

Leo characters wash off all the daily trait of LYX…..

TTEOTM grades are all rounded and extremely good.
Remembered someone posted a few days ago, TTEOTM is no 3 on popularity with XZ drama took no 2 for popularity? Knockout stays no 1. Let’s remember, no 2 is Tencent + CCTV with King of C Ent, But TTOETM views/eps actually double no 2. Lost in popularity but double the views.

During rewatch of Ming Ye arch dream, it has tons of LYX fights and flying scenes. I sigh, He is really the best in China when it comes flying scene. Leo movement is smooth, light, fairy like but strong at the same time. His hand, body and Leg is so straight, this takes tons of core strength.
His Ming Ye spell movement is so ethereal, graceful and powerful. No one else is comparable to him.
I really like all the Ming Ye clothing…they look so good on him.

Actually Novel TTJ is 20 yrs old. But no C actor would have the ability to pull TTJ at 20-28 yrs old, and Leo at 29 yrs old still can (looking at Runyu) but not as good as what we saw in TTEOTM. LSS also 18-20yrs in the novel.

When he played Princess Silver, he looks 18 yrs old, which is the age of the character and he was 30 already.

He looks 10 years younger. the beauty is in the bone....that's what they say.

During AOL I thought he is 22 but was v surprised to find 29-30 yrs old.
