I might avoid Xianxia till a good one comes. Still waiting for Longest Promise, Legends of Shen Li and Fox Matchmaker. I might only want to watch S+ Xianxia this year, cause I'll be comparing them to TTEOTM.
Also waiting for Cheng Yi Wuxia, but that's maybe next year.

The chinese title is the best, because embers here is the name of TTJ, meaning long lasting burning ash. His live is doomed and painful, just like his name Embers.

Just try 1 episode, C Xianxia/fantasy drama story can be complicated and overwhelming for beginner and TTEOTM story is complex with tons of world building and foreshadowing.
But this is def the best out there in many years with excellent acting from the cast.
At least the story going to be pretty fast pace compares to other Xianxia C drama.

If you don't like fantasy drama, this perhaps not the one for you?
If you like Game or Throne, harry potter, lord of the ring, then try this one.

The actor acting is questionable, I can't especially after watching LYX...I need a better acting from any drama I'll watch. So that's why I don't venture to artist I don't know, unless I read a proper review that the acting is excellent.

Also filter, BGM, some editing are more smooth.
We should not have make up problem anymore. But most of those make up problem are from those pp who watch on 4K. Youku app international does not offer 4K.
