Hmm,people don't like imperfections in characters...may be that's the reason!People mainly crave for the handsome…
One thing for sure....Not every LYX drama is well made, but EVERY LYX character is well played....In fact I have not seen any young actor with that much detail in acting and character understanding.....That's why I like him, not because he is beautiful and handsome....But his acting Slays every time.
Its one of the most underrated drama. I'm loving this drama but don't know why the rating is so low? It deserves…
Most LYX fans perhaps Costume drama fans, as he is King of Costume….
I don’t know much abt WQ or international fans of LYX. But LYX fans in China is famous for being lazy in doing anything to make the actor more popular. But they are good at: Buying his endorsement till they sold out, incl exp items. The most talented in making short video cut and producing Lyx related art works….His largest fan base is young working professional, followed by college student and only very little percentage of High schooler or younger…
But again. Rescue related drama maybe not everyone cup of tea…And what others mentioned here….seems like MDL users like superhero character, 2D characters, romcom over more real flawed characters…..

Since director said all the rescue scenes are adapted from real event...I wonder if the cave rescue was adapted from China or The heartbreaking, nerve racking Thailand Cave Rescue in 2018
I’m in ep 3 and i can say it is good drama but I didn't like the ML personality and his actions with his sister…
The most flawed characters are the ML & FL here....and LCR is the growth stories for both....overcoming their past trauma....becoming lights for other people.... This is not a superhero characters for the Leads....but they real....and that's what make a good story.....character growth....
My takes on LYX as LB LB is multi-faceted & complex which gave Lyx more space to fine out LB’s characters.
LB shows some sophistication, some shrewdness also hidden kindness. One of part of LB is extrovert, strong, and sharp, but his inner world is introverted, restrained and rational. Imo this created from life of hardship (orphan twice, poor etc)
Lyx- LB acting is worthy of scrutiny frame by frame with tons of details and Lyx creates multi-dimensional breathing LB….. Lyx as an award winner Ballet dancer used every inch of his body to convey silent emotions through his eyes, face expression and full body movement in his dance….He carries these into his acting….That’s why we see his immortal gesture in costume and here the 3D Luo Ben…. Just a little gesture is full of frame by frame details and a lot of thought….
One example: Only in LCR I get to see Lyx eating not in “elegant manner” Details: LB lost his parents 2x, he is yearning for family& regarded Captain QZ as his family…..As successful corporate lawyer, he eats/drinks elegantly in front of his colleague and client…but feeling with family, he eats like a kid….LB desires for family affection is obvious here, and LYX is an actor who has strong control over details….
