Not hoping for Lead to appear, as LYX seems to be stuck in Chengdu lockdown, not sure if he already resume filming or still on lockdown.
So have they completed shooting for the entire novel, i mean both the parts?
Yes from finishing trailers we saw they filmed the immortal world which should be the 2nd part. Also director mentioned the highlight of TTOETM is open ending, he should be hinting at part 2

True, their love story is much darker than LBFAD, it involves killing each other for real haha.... Well well, when it comes to Immortality. We indeed need to become immortal before we can see it. (not in the short term, C Gov is going crazy on anything BL adaptation)
Some pp found out Otter Studio registered TTOETM for 2 parts in May 19 ‘21, With 1st parts 32 eps & 2nd parts 25 eps. Then in Nov 2021, it was changed to 40 eps & 24 eps. So TTOETM indeed from the very beginning will have 2 parts, and actually now decided to reduce 40eps to 34 eps. The circulating 40 eps script is said to be more than 1 hour for each ep. So, at the end it will be spread to ttl 58 eps. If that is the case, we will have a solid story for 58 eps.
When that news came out last Nov, various Melons reported that it was Immortality that actually changed name and divided into 2 parts, but turned it out it was TTOETM plan from the v beginning. It was thought to be HYX B’cause it was also Otter Studio who registered it.
When we are informed it is 40 eps, they did not release publicly that there will be sequel. Now we know. The trailer of Lyx finishing video, showed TTJ entering the weak water river. TTJ confidant asked: Will you be back? He answered: Yes I will be back. That is the ending of TTOETM. The sequel will have a new name.
Not like the younger sister drama TTOETM gets to be extended from 40 eps to 58, also getting another name for the sequels. And Otter Studio ignored the bigger community and the more explosive drama here.....Just change HYX from 50 to 70 divides in 2 parts and name it something else but please Tencent and Otter.....at least just sell them to Netflix.....or leak them ...or what ever.....we want to see HYX

The script writer is Immortality's so it should be ok. CDL will be the villain here so yes the most annoying one, but she will have her own story behind it which is different and much better than the novel. As for me DW character is just typical nice guy ones same as 2nd leads in LBFAD, flat no arch, no development. Everyone different, I like fully developed characters, even if it is good to bad, because it makes the story interesting. I'm bored with super hero character.
So we get to see more of TTJ, Ming Ye and Chang Jiu MIng...The first part I think should end when TTJ tried to…

I have the same fear. The main focus should be on main cp. Hope they don't add unnecessary stuff n ruin the essence.
TTOETM is different than LBFAD which concentrate on MLs love story. TTOETM explores each characters but also give him/her story that relates to the main story as oppose to just filler. But making it 58 yeah that's a bit concerning.

The story was perfect for 40 eps. The 2 pp who had much better story than novel are LYX & CDL. Also CDL &DW have more scenes in the immortal world, CDL character is much deeper than novel but they also explore every character deeply. Everyone has their own story but relates to the main story. Unlike many filler couple who do not relates. all those already in 40 eps. So with 58 maybe they add more scenes between MLs. TTOETM is not like LFBAD at all, TTOETM story is much deeper & LFBAD concentrate on MLs love story only. TTOETM actually not so much compares to LFBAD.
But can't blame them not being greedy after all producer comp. OTTER only had 2 dramas, Immortality and TTOETM with HYX not airing anytime soon.
