I read both HYX novel and script, also TTOETM novel. I would rate TTOETM novel 40 and HYX 100. But the screen writter for HYX and TTOETM is the same. HYX script is a good safe adaptation so I know TTOETM drama will be better than the novel,

For me HYX is no 1, TTOETM is no 2. I love HYX novel so much.
But since HYX is no where to be seen, so have to switch to TTOETM now. LYX character deelopment in TTOETM is fuller than in HYX so that's good too. U can see his range of acting like Runyu.
as for HYX another thing I'm curious is CWN is v difficult to act out, I want to see how he act out CWN alive.

TTJ is a Prince & a reincarnation of Demon King, he is born with evil bone so he lacks the ability to feel and sense normal human behaviour.
