I dont think CY make it out alive or has a happy ending with FL . But it wasnt really a sad ending,this has been repeatedly emphasize in the whole drama : the likely happy ending will be CY was imprisoned back in BeiDou after all is settled his girl forgot him but no sadness for her. Not so good will be CY lost all his power in his mission, & even his life due to overexert.
Miracle will be they end up tgt even as humans.

Yes he did give up his Star Master status both to get thru the door to save Suxi & also to save You You. Becz he is finally a human he can taste the Chocolate, their handmake chocolate.

But he was trapped in the door or space there as a human, at the very last of his... perhaps breathe. We hear his internal monolog after i dissipate i will stay with u as the wind in good weather , as the rain in bad weather. BUt he forsee she wil have agood happy life , she will get marrried with some1 she love & have her own children . We will given a glimpse of FL with You You, happy carefree spirited FL with no memory of the ML, she retained some unexplained sadness for CY without knowning why when they drove past the place she 1st well her carknocked into CY . But i bet she will feel very loved , confident becz she has had experienced the most powerful love/ being loved

i deeply suspect Tang Mao ruined her career as part of his marriage proposal too.

Our Suxi / Lulu is a strong FL just in a sudden her career was ended , no film co will have her as every1 hold her as the mistake fo the movie exposure be4 it was aired, but she also needed to put up with huge amt of debt with her co & the investing firms , she dint pleading tang Mao or others for money , but determinedly sold off all valuables inc her only house. She could hav echoosen the easy path agree marry with TM be a housewife & let him settle her debt all that.

Chill.. she cant even rmb him, the Male Lead aka Chi Yu after all that ends, after Chi Yu well dies prob. she is the happiest happy go lucky girl i bet.

How could that be the same she was never happy with Tang Mao, idk u dint catch it fro the very beginning her interaction & relationship with TM, like she says he is her senior he taught her when she 1st step into her career as a newbie, she respects him most of the time obeys him too. BUT TM is dominating man , I wont personally love man like him too. He never care to make Female Lead happy like he never let her eat chocolate or be herself carefree, unrestricted. Of course is just choco, but from the way he treat her he never intend make her real happy. He just wanted her being a very sucessful man in career, he is possesive, thing he wanted including Lu Lu he is plain possessive, He could NEVER accept a No
Unlike Chi Yu . He smile at her smile. He know how to distress her. he respect her feels from the very beginnning , like let her dream the places she wanted to go. He go all the way to Paris to buy her fave handmake chocolate , knowing she has been under a lot of stress, she need her own way of therapy.

A bit mixed feelings with the ending really, it want to show their adventure continue, but rather half hanging , till now is there S2? as u mentioned , Mi qin mu bei clearly lose alrd in the battle, he was captured the question is where Zhao jian can find her dad.

i can understand her dilemma between saving her dad , helping Mi Qin or if not risk her dad killed; at one point i thought she is going to do as he said but she dint , then she just rescue him & left tgt. Knowing Zhao Jian , she must be having something big in mind, so she think going to the enemy country is better off than killing off their powerful general . or the writer just purposely do that so ppl will look for season 2

ahh yeahh it has been some time since i watched it, maybe few years. it brought back flashes just reading/seeing. Recalling the ML "escaping" his first mission by plotting his own break a leg , HAHA very intriguing .. smart ppl are hard to recruit. And the thing he overdo breaking rules , even the others like Female lead are influenced by his way
no wonder he labelled the most rebellious student in the class

TQ for your well written review, i always think this series deserve higher rating, seem not as popular as some but is one that i dont regret watching , & capture me straight from Ep1 & never boring & i really liked the characters' growth, their values, the scene of them prisoners in ads was one attracts strongly of my curiosity , the male lead villain , smart, cunning, indifference yet actually so protective &likeable, perfect to say street savvy.
the plot of them strangers so different coming together & found their values & mission , from strangers with very different character & upbringing , to building friendship in the midst of plots, schemes & betrayal yet sincerity wins
Their growth , their vow ,protect ppl they cared & country towards peace willingly i just love it ! many values worth keeping even in these modern days

That's a shame, many of the great love, hate, pain, revenge parts come after, but is a bit heavy story line .

The drama has some great acting, At start i am attracted by the strong lead character on her adventure and fight, the mysterious things behind some of the second lead and background.
If watch carefully, many of the small expressions is great Clasp ! And lots story twist; the male and female lead i cant feel much for them at the start either, but if u are not just looking for lovey dovey story, it has lots of adventure, mystery, life struggles
yet friendship and values persist.
Even just in the middle it gets a bit too heavy that i have to take a break

which 2nd male lead ? but then both 2nd male lead are plotting . I must say Their acting really make the characters alive , the pain , love, hate, revenge, regrets, hurt ; great show.
