Title Silent Truth
Agree Hiromi is the one deeply hurted in this love triangle (like any love triangle in drama, eg. First Love jdrama…
Regardless of intent, conscious or not, some of Junichi’s actions were still hurtful to Hiromi. There are moments where it feels like he was using her, even if he didn’t fully realize it himself. For example, when Makiko asked him to play catch with Masaki, you can see him trying to draw a line by bringing Hiromi. Why? Because he wanted to show off his girlfriend? Nah. To me, it’s a “wrong place, wrong time” kind of story where everyone ends up in difficult circumstances. But that doesn’t erase the fact that Hiromi was hurt, or that Junichi’s behavior toward her was unkind at times.

Title Silent Truth Spoiler
Yes the twists and turns made the last episode very interesting. Many viewers here commented Makiko is manipulative.…
I agree. Junichi was so good at drawing a line, but from the beginning I feel like he did that for himself (or due to his belief that he wasn’t worthy) and not because he loved his girlfriend or anything. I’m actually kinda reluctant calling Makiko manipulative. Perhaps a more apt description is she’s someone who seeks comfort within another (not the type who can be happy alone).

From the whodunit aspect, the story is engaging to follow. I especially love Nara as a character and would love to watch another series involving her as the detective. I love Junichi, especially the actor who carries the performance very well, giving it depth. But from an irl perspective, the story is kinda crazy…maybe because it’s entirely possible to happen. And I agree with the review above about Junichi using Hiromi as a placeholder… a personal nightmare of mine when starting a relationship

And I think it’s pretty clear that her real identity (who she was born as) is Mok Ga Hee. She came from a modest background, tried to live an honest life like everyone else, and got screwed up because of what happened at Samwol, turning her into “Sarah Kim”, who at the end have to change identity one more time to Kim Mi Jeong to save Boudoir’s name. I really enjoyed this drama.

I really like this drama (or more like this genre in general). I don’t get the low score here tho?? To one of the commenters who feels like they still don’t get clarity on Sarah Kim’s story, I think you’re missing the point… That’s part of the con. Shin Hye Sun’s character will continue to lie and shift identities to protect Boudoir. Phenomenal acting, riveting story. Love this!

I was debating to watch this. Does this focus on food? Those types of stories are boring to me. Just not for me.…
I would say a good portion of this drama involves food. I actually love food so those scenes are actually what motivated me to continue watching hahaha. If food is not your thing, I would say just read a recap online and watch something else with a more solid storyline.

This drama had some good moments, but overall, it’s just a massive black hole made of so many story gaps. There are several major scenes where I couldn’t even feel the emotional payoff because the build-up sucked big time. And the ending? It happened… just because. Actually, that’s the perfect summary for the whole show: everything happens just because. I need more explanations dammit!

Yoona’s performance was okay, but nothing memorable either. Pretty much the standard level we see from today’s Korean actors. The real surprise for me was the male lead. I’ll admit, I was disappointed when Park Sung Hoon got replaced. I almost skipped this drama altogether. But after seeing clips of the new lead, Lee Chae Min, I got curious! And wow, he’s WAY better than I expected.

Too bad the story couldn’t keep up. It’s just… meh. Glad I finished it, but yeah, definitely not something I’ll be rewatching.

I think it's because of their popularity in both target markets.Kentaro is well known in South Korea lately thanks…
WHAT. Omg I can’t wait to see how the knetz will react to that lolol

But some actors like Kim Nam Gil and Kim Jae Wook have also done BL movies before, and they’re doing just fine, so maybe knetz are not as conservative as before

I agree. But showing them in this drama just because is so weird imo haha. Plus why choose that kind of atmosphere if you’re not gonna do anything with it? Maybe I’m too used to Marvel giving sneak peeks for their upcoming movie at the end credit lol

Someone tell me why those two cameos are here in the final episode!! Do they share a universe or what? Also, I love this drama. It’s been a long time since I watched a romcom and enjoyed it.

I actually watched this one out of order because I didn’t know there’s a 4th season. I still love this one, but it’s probably one of my least favorite seasons for several reasons. First, I really miss the guest system. They really make things alive! Second, while the cast is great, somehow they do feel less like a unit now. It’s more like a man-eat-man situation. I used to really like Park Jiyoon, but this season she’s especially…extra. She sneers and throws out accusations without evidence a lot, so much so that I think she’s the culprit in some of the cases. At one point I was like, lady, please stop talking and let other people present their evidence… like geez. But then I love her again in Zero (S5) so I suppose this season was just an off time for her. Also, no one asked, but my favorite seasons in order, from most to least are: 2, Zero (5) >> 3 >> 4 >> 1 hohoho

I’m so happy Crime Scene is back!! And the guests are also back!! My favorite guest is Park Sung Woong. I was hoping he’d turn up again but I guess it was just ep 1&2. The production also gets better and better each season! I love how the episodes kinda end on a cliffhanger with suspense music this season. Please give us more PD-nim… 10 episodes are not enough lol

I’m watching this for the second time (why oh why) and I forgot how much I hate the characters in this drama lol. Like everyone said, the FL is a real basic B who doesn’t seem to have common sense. You’re telling me she’s a true crime fan? Lolol yeah right. She still has some saving grace though, unlike the male prosecutor, who should be fired because he’s abusing his power as law enforcement due to his volatile emotion. Thanks to him I got so many eyeball exercise from rolling my eyes. The drama’s concept is great, some characters are great but some are more than awful, some story elements are not exactly how things work IRL. I really hope the justice system in SK isn’t actually like this, where prosecutors indict people based on their “gut” as well as threaten hospitals in the hopes of getting “evidence.” If the male prosecutor has any conscience, he should quit his job or at least control his emotions better and start using his brain. Hope he’s not in S2 bcs my mom said it was good and I wanna watch it hahaha

This drama actually has a good story, but it lacks structure. The presentation/writing is kinda messy. Also, maybe emphasizing the “con” or “deceit” part isn’t entirely correct. That’s just how I feel. This isn’t what I expected even though I ended up liking it. The breaking the 4th wall can be weird at times, too. It’s like they’re mixing too many concepts. Anyway, the core story is good and it keeps me engaged to the end.

I love this kind of drama so much! I really enjoyed it. What a star-studded cast. Little things I find weird: I noticed all the in-story dates were set in 2023, even though this just aired in 2025. I find that usually dramas use dates closer to the air time, so this stood out a bit. Also, an astonishing amount of indoor smoking! LOL

I appreciate the shorter episode count; recent K-dramas trimming down from 16 eps is a welcome shift, especially for crime shows that can feel like it’s slow.

Everyone everywhere is comparing this to Hospital Playlist, which I think is a big reason why they’re disappointed. IDK why but I had no expectations going into this drama and it was pretty good to watch. I really enjoyed Oh Yi Young’s character bcs I’m at that phase of my life where I’m so not gung-ho about work anymore, so I find her reluctance very refreshing and real. The romance is just OK imo and I think the lack of camaraderie is natural bcs these people just met for the first time as residents. I agree with the review regarding the scalpel mistake—too rookie for a supposed resident. But anyway, this was a fun watch!

I watched this one back in the day and basically was bored to death I skimmed the entire series straight to the end. I usually love Ji Sung but somehow I just don’t have the patience to watch all 18 episodes. Skipped to the end and didn’t feel like I missed anything…
