to be fair, when they invested in this drama they didn't know in the future the situation would turn out like…
Given the popularity of BL adaptations that more or less remove the BL elements, it was a relatively safe bet back then because such series had been made and completely released. I won't say they weren't being good investors just because they didn't anticipate a possible ban or decided to take the risk despite the possibility of one. All investments come with an element of risk and I guess they knew how much they could lose if things did not go smoothly.
Also, if investors all allowed the strict censorship to stop them, we would not have had series like The Untamed or Word of Honor because the fate of such series was uncertain until people tried to circumvent the BL ban by adapting away the obvious BL elements. I'm personally happy that there are investors willing to take risks.
It was the same in the novel though. If anything, the 9 year old son was around a lot in the novel but the live…
Lol, to mention it only at the end serves no purpose (maybe just to assure censors that it's not hidden BL?) and then instead of showing us a scene of LJ with his son, they decided to show us LJ going to ZP with, it seems to me, a greater sense of anticipation than when he was told about the prospects of reuniting with his son. I know the original work isn't BL, but the creators of the series might have secretly taken liberties in their adaptation.
What? Lan Jue is actually married with a son, and he has never had his thoughts on them throughout? Most meaningless revelation in the last episode ever.
as much as I agree that Seon Ho's behavior in last episode was questionable, I also cannot stop myself from understanding…
Yeah, something could have been done to make Seon Ho's behavior more believable. The lack of clarity about whether Seon Ho and Muyeong are already officially in a relationship doesn't help.
I can sympathize with Muyeong's behavior because this Jun Seok has been always there for him, and the fact that he can't reciprocate Jun Seok's love probably makes him feel like he owes an even greater debt to Jun Seok, so the least he can do as a friend is to be there for him when he's injured. (I can't believe Jun Seok makes use of this to manipulate Muyeong though. Wish the writers had done the character more justice.) Perhaps a montage of Seon Ho getting increasingly frustrated each time Muyeong leaves him to take care of his friend would have helped.
Why? The guy is everywhere, "acting" the same way each time. I don't think he needs to be blackmailed :-)
Lol. I thought he became famous after YYY (I actually like him in it), and every role I've seen him appear in after that seems to be one that is just making use of his star power. But then again, I would imagine an actor with such star power to be likely to reject a role in a show that seems to be borderline smut (so far) since he can probably accept lots of other roles for money. I don't know ... does he even have a manager with common sense?
WTF WT.... WTF!! I suggest u invest in a good box of tissues and don't wear any eye make-up while watching this!!…
@SoHooked
And it's quite hard to make up for everything with a Season 2 or special episode unless they are going to get rid of Tatarn (also saddening) and have Nut go back to Tofu (will reflect badly on Nut as he seems to go with whoever is alive and available).

Or he might fall asleep and wake up without being able to control it, like some of the other items. And he might experience different sorts of physical pain like Ms Blanket.

@jojoce What a strange way of thinking the director has, especially when the scenes at the end show Tofu to be human except for not having a human body anymore.

That's interesting. Is the director explaining Tofu's thinking or explaining his own thinking?
I think the script doesn't support such an idea very well because Tofu is greater than most if not all the other characters. If the director really thought this way, I wish he had read the script more sensitively.
At the level of scripting, the ending has a lot of room for interpretation despite its flaws, and it's sad if the director unproblematically wants to convey the idea that Tofu doesn't deserve to exist. (All Tofu says after he's transformed back to being a teddy bear shows him to be very much human, and a very good, loving human too except that he no longer has a human body. And obviously, whether he's human or teddy bear, he is greater than the human villains who try to kill Tarn and him.

I'm not defending Tofu's decision by the way. I find the ending really depressing. I just don't quite think that the show is glorifying suicide. To me, Tofu has made a terrible decision, but it doesn't lessen the fact that he is very selfless.

The random product placement in Part 4. It was like Panadol for a headache.
