I would say Weir IS being a gay conqueror by virtue of the references to his sexual conquests and how random people are attracted to him. However, some seem to be saying that he doesn't seem like one, and to me, this is like saying that Pooh doesn't behave the way most of us would expect a bodyguard to behave. Yeah, of course he doesn't, but he is a bodyguard in the story and Weir has plenty of sexual conquests in the story even if he is like a cartoonish stuffed toy.

I see Weir's attractiveness to others in the story as an attribute akin to a superpower rather than anything in the character's looks, build or mannerisms. I can understand if it doesn't work for you, of course.

Instinctively, I would give Lee Thanat the role of the gay conqueror based on the actor's looks and still maintain the image he has in the show. But the series hasn't broken things for me so far either, so both the casting of Singto and the way his image is presented are still fine for me.

I believe you guys have a narrow minded view of what a killer gay should look like.Yes, singto’s styling is…
Anyway, it's not as if we're watching a documentary of what goes on in a gay bar or something like that.

If we go by what happens in real life, none of the stuff in the story will be happening. It's humorous fiction and in the story, Weir is a gay conqueror. If it doesn't seem plausible in real life, maybe it's part of the fun. We are unlikely to find a boss like Punn, a waiter begging for a job but taunting the boss like Krating or a bodyguard who cries in front of everyone like Pooh. It's not like anyone in real life can be a gay conqueror in the way that Weir in the story is, making anyone he likes, gay or straight, fall in love with him.

can someone at least explain what was the airpods about ????
I think it's just a metaphor for their relationship. We see Fan trying to connect the device to the phone (aka pair the device with the phone) but failing. This is like how he hopes and tries to get back with ("pair") Tien but ultimately fails. Eventually he deletes the device, which represents giving up on the pairing and moving on, both for the gadgets and for the relationship.

The second female lead is unfortunately not a very well written character. There's no need for her to suddenly feel for Stone to make the story work, and it seems like a bad attempt to add more tension.

The second male lead is lovable, but we know how second male leads tend to be. They can the sweetest guys on earth but have no luck in love.

Clearly you’ve never seen Cupid Coach… at least this has Both and Newyear
Lol, Cupid Coach started off fine and then ...

But the really unwatchable one for me is So Much In Love. Watched a bit and the story digressed to a confusing mess of characters.

Thank you. It's a nicely crafted series, which is a pleasant surprise. I wish they didn't resort to using Fern as the villain though. So many things could have happened when Dew invited his friends over to his house.... the homophobic mother could have overheard the friends talking, noticed the way her son and Best looked at each other, etc. Or maybe Dew's parents could have decided to send him to study elsewhere anyway.

Yeah, I think the bittersweet ending was really finely executed. Not some half-assed cliffhanger or ambiguous ending but nicely open. It's unfortunate that the message on the shirt and what Dew wrote on the page of the notebook weren't subtitled, leading to unhappiness over a supposedly unhappy ending.
On The Best Story Jul 23, 2021
I think the ending is misunderstood. I was all ready to go ballistic on the last episode for spoiling things badly, but it ended up being surprisingly well done.

It seems sad that Best does not even get to confess his love to Dew because he does not finish the message on Dew's shirt. However, Best does manage to confess through the notebook. Earlier on, he doesn't know whether his notebook has ended up in Dew's hands, so he wants to tell Dew about his feelings.

In the final scene, Dew's message to Best shows a photo of a page from Best's notebook, so Dew is letting Best know that he knows about his feelings through the notebook (the confession by writing on the shirt is unnecessary).

Dew has also added words to the page. I think, when Dew reads the notebook and thinks about the time he has spent with Best, he also finally becomes more certain of his feelings for Best. So on the page that he photographs, he writes the same incomplete message that Best has written on his shirt. He knows Best will know the complete message and is basically telling Best that he likes him too.

Best cries after reading the message because he's overcome with emotion, knowing that he has managed to tell Dew his feelings, knowing that Dew also likes him, and I guess, also knowing that despite their love, they have to be separated (well, for now anyway).

i want best to tell dew ( i love you ) ... from episode 1 i wait for this moment :( this sad ending was heavy…
If it's any consolation, the ending indicates that Best has managed to get the message across to Dew. Dew sends Best a message with a photo of a page in Best's notebook, which indicates that he has seen what is written in the notebook and knows about Best's feelings. And I think he wants Best to know that he knows so Best won't have regrets. Dew has also added the same incomplete message that Best has written on his shirt, so it suggests that Dew is also saying that he likes Best.

any thai can translate for us intfan the last written message?
You are referring to the message that Best sees in his phone?

It's a photo of a page from Best's notebook, but with Dew's writing included. I don't know Thai, but it looks like the same words that Best had written on Dew's shirt (with an ellipsis added). And according to translations provided by others, what Best wrote was an incomplete message--he wanted to write "I like you" but stopped halfway.

According to the MDL synopsis, Bom had been in love with Jin since both were freshmen. I don't know how Jin's love for him is going to be explained (if ever) though. I couldn't even tell that he had got over his break-up with Aim.

I also have no idea why Jin is supposedly known to be a playboy. He seems faithful to Aim (who's the one who had a change of heart) and he immediately told Som Som he was in love with someone else when she confessed her love for him. Especially with the crying scene, it seems more like Jin is someone who is serious when it comes to his relationships and is quite fragile emotionally. Playboy?

Yeah, something about the main couple just doesn't work. I'm getting better vibes with Jay and Song even though they haven't even really done anything (I'm halfway through Ep 6). I love it whenever I see them. They aren't even officially a side couple, but I would totally have them as the main couple or have the two actors act as the main couple.

Even Keam and Ball give better couple vibes, though I can't make sense of Keam at all. He behave strangely with everyone every now and then. He has a girlfriend (!), he has some secret he's keeping for Aim, and be reacts strangely when it comes to Bom and Jin (like when Bom is drunk and the rest ask Jin to take Bom to Jin's room). But the looks he gives when he sees Ball make me feel like there will be something between them.

As for Jin/Bom.... I thought at first that Bom has a crush on Jin way before Jin breaks up with Aim, but when Jin stares at Bom (thinking that Bom has stolen his girlfriend), Bom seems totally uninterested in Jin and asks, "Do I know you?" There doesn't seem to be a hint that he is pretending. I guess the cinematography does come in too, making him seem aggressive towards Jin at first, and I thought something would cause him to fall in love with Jin later. But quite suddenly Bom switches from "I don't want to make friends" (when Jin realizes that Bom and AIm are relatives) to "I am courting you". Like huh?

Also just watched the first 3 episodes. For me, it's the editing and flow and maybe the pacing that affect the quality.

In one scene, Jin seriously says that he can't be anything more than friends with Bom. But in the next scene, after Bom blatantly tells Jin that he is courting him, Jin doesn't have any objections when Bom says he wants to call him every day. Then in the next scene, Jin is eating an ice-cream off Bom's hands....

Oh yeah, now that you mention Duean's flirting with the teacher, I recall that part when Meen looks sad in the tent and the narrator ends the segment with a tone of mock sadness.

In most other BL series, if Meen is in love with Duean, there would be a focus on his bashful smiles when Duean gets physically close to him like hugging him. But maybe there's a deliberate attempt to avoid this here.

The Mork-Pi relationship has become more interesting to me as the series comes to an end. It feels like the story…
To be fair, Louis does suit the part of the innocent guy, and while Duean and Meen are supposed to be the side couple, there isn't any indication of romantic feelings on Meen's part thus far. It's largely Duean in denial and then eventually admitting to himself and Mork that he likes Meen. Meen seems totally clueless and his inner world is quite opaque to us (even the time he is ignoring Duean), and if this is the script .... changing the actor is unlikely to make a big difference.

Of course, I think you are right that any of Duean's friends would seem more convincing as a couple. But I think the mismatch may well be intentional though not made use of very well.
