idk... part one and two feel like completely different shows. i usually like psychological horror types if i had known part two would've gone down a possession-type horror route i probably wouldn't have watched this drama...
maybe i wouldn't have been disappointed in it if there wasn't such a large gap between one and two, maybe i missed it but was the forest spirit even mentioned in part one? the acting and production is great but i had to watch the last few episodes on 1.5x speed

it is a fact that gmmtv mistreats their female actors, the actors have brought it up themselves. its probably why its taken this long to make a lesbian romance and why namtan was only in one lead role and one ensemble drama announced in part one

i think you bringing up bl is so irrelevant to your original point? why bring up the comparison between gl and bl in the first place unless you are just mad that bl is more popular?

women are interested in male x male romance pairings in a way that i think is incomparable to men being interested in lesbians. men don't want to watch a lesbian romantic storyline they want normal action plotline with hot women to look at sometimes. going to put in my own observation as a woman in this community, most of us are queer and interact with this media in a way that i cannot describe as fetishy. i think looking into a fandom from the outside you're always going to focus on the vocal weirdos (see furrys, bronies, kpop fans, etc.), but the actual experience of being in this community is different. there will be plenty of bl fans that won't want to watch a gl , but there will also be a lot who will so..?

secondary point,,, none of the lesbian dramas are even out yet. let's wait until they come out to see how they are received, hey?

i'm not claiming gl is more popular than bl. i'm saying its unfair to make the comparison because way less money and effort has been put into gl shows. it is so reductive to say women watch bl because they fetishise gay men. bigger fandoms are just going to garner a bigger population of weirder fans.

namtan can't have a lead role in a bl, thats not how it works obviously. there is 100% going to be more eyes on her gl work than her straight work so why are we even comparing them. i'm just glad we're getting more sapphic media now, especially with such a great actor.

maybe this show is also secretly set in the omegaverse and they can just sniff em out and can smell when they're smashing other people due to a change in scent

oh sorry ! they released clw on disney+ first (which was geoblocked just like they're doing for cc) and then released it weekly on youtube a little later. it was still annoying at the time but at least there was consistency with what people were able to watch

the first gl they announced last year hasn't come out yet. its hard to say gl doesn't garner higher ratings (and viewership) as bl because there are so few of them??? gap was so popular and people have been begging for 23.5 degrees to come out since it was announced

not 100% sure but usually if a show only has a tv version and a youtube version either the yt version is less cut or its the same as tv (except for cooking crush and be my favorite recently??)
