I think they have signed for this drama but we don't have official confirmation for anyone. Until we'll have a broadcast date, we need the cast news first. It is possible they are ready for filming or they already have started filming, who knows?

Yeah, depends what everyone is considering a love triangle. Many times kdramas have a `false` love triangle. Just because two people like the third party, that is not enough to be a love triangle in my book.
I watched this drama when it aired so maybe I don`t know have all the details but for me that was the case. From what I remember, Joon hee always had a problem with the bad timing. He did not confess when they were young and later, Min Ho was already in the picture. I remember the scene when Min Ho colapped on Soon Jung`s arms in the hospital. Joon hee`s face told us everything. He knew he was late again.
The female lead even had a hard time opening up to ML. One of people`s wish was that FL would be more romantic towards the male lead. I agree that she was pasive/ not romantic but I totally understand her perspective. This drama was about healing not hot romance. She loved all her life one man. When he died, she was heartbroken. I think the second time when she felt heartbroken was when Joon hee told her (after he was caught) why he killed Dong Wook. That must be so painfully.
Soon Jung opens up to new love, gradually, and accepted Min Ho. And he had another chance to life and love also. His persistence, his funny and innocent side after the transplant, made her fall in love with him and made us, the audience, to root for him/them to make it.
I liked the drama. I am not usually rewatching kdramas but maybe I will rewatch this drama someday.

No, it is not true. I liked the drama and I am not usually even a fan of fantasy genre. The writer gave people (for most of them) what they wanted: humor, bromance, friendship, a little romance, a little folklore, a happy ending. The person who asked why it has high ratings sounds arogant. I genuinely don`t understand why he gave a good or low ratings for some other shows but that`s the point. The tastes are subjective. Everyone can give what rating they want. I don`t know why people are obsessing with ratings anyway. I agree with you that sometime a high or a low rating don`t reflect the quality of a drama. People like what they like. If someone enjoyed this show fine, if not, fine as well.

I read the news and I was thinking they will look good together on a drama too but I see that they already shared a screen together in Secret Door. Nice.

If you want, you can watch the first season but You`ll understand the second season without watching the first.

I did not watch any project of this PD and I watched just one work of the writer. `Yoona`s Street.` I enjoyed the drama. It had 50 episodes, it slow-paced slice-of-life drama but I liked it. It had funny parts and I liked the relationship between the neighbors. When I read the synopsis at first I thought the drama `The Good Man` will be more dramatic but now wonder if it will be a dark comedy. I really don`t know. Seeing just one work of this writer I can not tell about the writing style.
I think there will be lots of characters. I have a feeling it is an assemble cast/drama.

Yes, Ryu Hye Young plays Lee Dong Wook`s sister in this drama. I wonder If the love interest for the protagonist will have an important role in this drama. I hope there are other casting news because we`ll find out more informations about the relationships of the main characters.
I just looked at the writer`s past dramas. He doesn`t seam to use the actors from previous works like other writers or directors but who knows? We`ll see who they cast for the female lead. We also did not know for sure if Yoo Jae Myung and Jo Woo Jin will appear in it after all. The news article about their cast was removed.

The writer created him to continue the story in the third season and now we know that there is a very high posibility that the story will be centered around mountains gods.
Personally, I would not have put him at all in season 2. If they wanted a third season they could easily presented him there.

I don`t know why they killed Do jin. I know that they told us that his death had meaning. At least he saved that child and his other colleagues but I wish they worked better on the story. Probably the writer did not know what to do with two male protagonists. I thought that Do jin was not utilized much in the story in the first season and I thought in the second season it will be different. The appearence of childhood friend was a red herring (I kind of sensed that he was not the culprit) but what was the point of introducing this new character? He investigated on his own about the arsonist and he did not even bother to talk about his suspisious with his friend who was a firefighter involved in the case. I guess we`ll see him in later episodes where he will be the expert in explosives and other pyrotechnic materials instead of Do jin.


I am not mad that they killed Do Jin. I am just disappointed. My favorite character is Ho-Gae but I liked their bromance. I can`t say I am satisfied with the story either. I will finish the season and I hope there are better cases.

I was emotional after the farewell of Do jin and I laughed in episode 4 how bad the storyline was. They showed the team of firefighters and investigation team together and all of the sudden the military team came. The fire alarm rang but nobody in the building responding. The team has to go door to door to evacuate people and there were only 30 minutes left. So many people involved but Ho Gae caught the `infamous` arsonist on the roof. Too much noise/show for nothing. The arsonist was a pathetic joke. His reason was to create haos and a bigger fire to honor his fellow colleagues! Jeez. They should have used Choi Won Young`s character more. He appeared only a few minutes in ep 1 or 2 but he was more believable as a villain. Yang Sang-Man met his ex wife on the roof and told her that she will become famous. LOL Why she left her coleagues when they faced a serious crisis to go meeting him? Twice!

I did not watch the first season but I wanted to see Lee Joon Gi in the teaser. He is like a fish in the water in this kind of genre.
LJG has a more mature face than SJK? Well, I thought that`s why Joon Gi was cast in the drama, to look more matured.
A funny fact. When I started watching kdramas (like 11 years ago), I often confused Lee Joon Gi and Song Joong Ki. LOL. I was not familiar with them or watched them in a drama so I found them similar. Not anymore, of course.

I read that this drama will start filming in the second half of this year or early next year and broadcast in 2024.

I know what you are saying. But there are peaple at 40s with that much grey hair. I know people who in their 60/70 that don`t have such grey hair. LOL Sometime it is genetic but there are studies which imply that this aging-related process is closely associated with our psychological well-being. There are people who turned white hair after a shock. It is not something that it is not possible.
