Haha. KSY is not a rating queen. If the drama will receive 6 % rating I will be very pleased. From the success of this season it will depend on the production of the 3rd season as they planned. Even Lee Dong Wook said it at the preview screening. I will watch no matter what but for the cast and crew I want good ratings. They work so hard, for so long.

The previous drama had bad ratings and I hope TOTNT1938`s ratings will increase. Actors alone don`t make good ratings. The drama has to be good with an engaging story. There are at least two- three succesful dramas in the same time slot on weekends . Maybe the genre is not for everyone but I still hope people will turn to watch this drama. Fingers crossed.
They assume that Kim So yeon will be the main villain because she played a villain in her previous drama. No one knew the plot so they speculated. From all the informations available right now, no, she won`t be the villain. If so, the reason for being the main villain would be ridiculous. As Mu Young, I wish they resolved the issue but the Mu Young from the future stabbed Lee Rang in the preview. He doesn`t kidding, he is angry. As I said, I wish they resolve their issues somehow. For me it is sad to see the three mountain gods, being friends from childhood, swearing to defend each other, fighting each other instead. There are a lot of villians, the monsters, Japanese officer, police chief, and others.
Kim So Yeon won`t play the villain this time. Hong Joo will fight Lee Yeon sometimes but she is not his enemy. I think it is more of a play for her. Mu Young (played by Ryu Kyung soo) from the future, is against Lee Yeon and he wants revenge for an unknown reason. I hope there is a chance to reconcile because they were friends in the past, but I don`t know if they will. I think the villains will be different monsters and a foreigner monster who will appear episodic.
If this season is successful, we can expect season 3 to be as well. I hope this drama will have higher ratings than the previous drama in this time slot.

It could be a tragic love story or not. If he said in season 1 that he had no love to protect (I assumed that also) could mean that he had a tragic love story or he did not find love at all. Lee Yeon came in 1938 and changed Lee Rang`s life. He brought him in Gyeongseong (Old Seoul). Lee Rang (from season 1) did not have that opportiunity, he has continued to be in a gang with the bandits (he was the leader of the gang). Who knows, maybe he met the mermaid because of this little change. We don`t know how the future will change with all the characters` visit into the past.

Lee yeon and Lee Rang won`t be enemies. They will have a confrontation the first time they will meet again but they will be on good terms with each other in this season. Lee Yeon will save Lee rang`s life in the first episode.

In my opinion they have more story to offer from the past than to make one on the present. The writer wants to tell how Lee yeon became mountain god or how it was to be one.
