Oh, okay, lol. I'm just confused because I don't think I mentioned anything about the time or the hand-offs. I simply pointed out that Jin Man gave her the option to run away, so it's not like he's forcing Ji Ahn into a perilous situation with no way out, addressing OP's points.

I see this is a prequel of Concrete Utopia, but I didn't watch it.QUESTION:Is necessary to watch that movie first,…
No, you don't have to watch Concrete Utopia. It is set in the same universe as the movie, but three years later. However, the story is not a continuation of Concrete Utopia and only shares a location.

Thanks! I heard good thing about it so I might catch it soon.

Hope it doesn't become like Vagabond .
or Signal. It's been almost 8 years now...
Anyway I hope it will have second season or a movie to answer the remaining questions and they stop at that. Personally, I'm not a fan of the new trend of multi-seasons k-dramas.

and as much as i love jinman being alive,,, there’s like 1781462828 unanswered questions from the beginning…
Yes, the ending felt incomplete. But what are your other questions? For me, there are just two main questions, given the buildup, that were not answered in the show: Where was Jin Man for the last three days, and what happened to Bale?
Other questions I have are just based on curiosity and my care for the characters: Is Min Hye alive or not? Where did Pasin take her? What triggered Babylon to attack Jin Man/hack Mutherhelp now? I mean, it's eventually going to happen, but why now?

If he had remained deceased as depicted (pushed to suicide by Jung Min with that silly voice AI trick), wouldn't that have been inconsistent with his character? I believe he staged his suicide so that Ji Ahn would return home, ensuring that even if she found herself in perilous situations, it would be within a controlled environment (the fortified house, the hidden gun under the sofa, the shopping mall), where she had a better chance of survival and trusted friends to assist her.

Your comment actually got me thinking that, narratively, the present-day situation seems to mirror episodes 2 and 7, where Jin Man had departed to confront Bale and entrusted his friend (Honda) to protect Ji Ahn (assuming this is what occurred; otherwise, I'd share your frustration). This similarity now makes sense as to why episode 7 appears to be a rehash of episode 2 but with more POVs, as they essentially mirror the present circumstances. Jin Man likely knew, or at least had confidence, that Ji Ahn would be able to reach the shopping mall, given her ability to fend off or escape from the assassins in uncontrolled environments when she was little.

Oh, the big reveal that Jeong Jin Man is still kicking is just... what? Shockingly predictable, yet somehow utterly…
I agree that Jin Man isn't a model parent, although I understand why his parenting style is necessary given their unique circumstances and also his character. Moreover, it would be very disappointing if he had been absent solely to test Ji Ahn and left everyone else to fend for themselves. However, it would have made perfect sense if he had been away to confront Bale and Babylon while everyone else was focused on attacking Ji Ahn. After all, as long as Bale and Babylon still exist, the world isn't a safe place for Ji Ahn anyway, and they would inevitably target her in the future. Therefore, confronting them now and catching them off guard seems like a strategic move. Besides, it wasn't an abrupt decision; Jin Man had been preparing for this and training Ji Ahn for a long time.

As for the others, it seems they were all there by choice and fully aware of the gravity of their decision. Min Hye, indebted to Jin Man for saving her life at the cost of losing almost his entire family, would have done anything to protect Ji Ahn. Pasin, driven by his friendship with Jin Man and possibly Jin Man's financial assistance with his son's medical bills (as indicated by Jin Man's statement "No need to pay him back" during their conversation before staging his suicide), would also have been motivated to help. Furthermore, Pasin cares deeply for his students, Ji Ahn and Min Hye, and would have assisted them regardless. Similarly, Brother's loyalty lies with Mutherhelp, considering it's been his entire life for the past ~10 years. He likely views Ji Ahn as the manager of Mutherhelp whom he must obey and protect at all costs.

Moreover, Jin Man offered Ji Ahn the option to run away if she didn't want to be involved in the business. However, this would likely only buy her a few years before Babylon tracked her down.

So many questions left unanswered. What were those glasses Brother gave jian before? What was that secret door…
Your remaining questions were addressed in the show:

The secret door serves as the entrance to the house from the shopping mall, which Ji Ahn used to gain entry after trapping Jung Min. Jin Man covered it with gunpowder as a precaution for emergencies when there is no manager present inside the shopping mall. For instance, if something were to happen to Jin Man/Ji Ahn/Brother, preventing anyone else from accessing the shopping mall.

Jung Min is the character who triggers the final stage of Jin Man's plan. Because Brother had established solid security measures for the website, it required him to hack directly from the host computer. Given the extensive surveillance Jin Man had in place, including cameras monitoring Ji Ahn, he would have been aware of Jung Min's presence when Ji Ahn was locked in storage, so Jin Man likely suspected Jung Min's ulterior motives upon his arrival. Therefore, Jin Man probably used Jung Min's appearance to initiate the final stage of the long-term plan he had mentioned to Pasin. Honestly, on top of that, Jung Min also played a significant role in explaining the world-building for viewers and advancing the plot in earlier episodes and also before he was killed. He also recorded his hacking session so it might be used by Babylon in the future

Season 2 is not announced yet, and we don't even know if there's going to be a season 2. We are just speculating that given the ending they probably plan for a second season.

Those are infrared glasses. It would be useful for her to see the surroundings if the lights in the shopping mall got cut off. But in the scene it helped her to see that Jung Min has a recording pen in his pocket. Also if she had remembered to wear it again later when facing Sung Jo, then she would have seen the laser trap Sung Jo has set up.

Yes, it could be a movie, but most dramas are created because the creators want to delve deeper into the characters…
it's implausible for Jin Man to have died because such an event would contradict his established character. This understanding is based on what the drama has shown rather than mere speculation stemming from his status as a main character and an assassin.

Another example is how the flashback in episode 2 establishes the dynamics of Jin Man and Ji Ahn's relationship. Therefore, when Min Hye mentions that Jin Man referred to Ji Ahn as his pretty niece, viewers recognize that this statement is incongruous with Jin Man's character. Similarly, Min Hye's retreat suggests that she knows Jin Man well enough to deduce the likelihood that the girl in his house is his niece, which she later confirms by scanning her code.

Sure, a 2-hour movie might suffice, but I believe the story would lack the depth in characters, dynamics, and even world-building that the drama has showcased.

Yes, it could be a movie, but most dramas are created because the creators want to delve deeper into the characters…
If you have said you prefer a plot-driven rather than a character-driven story, then I would have chalked it up to just having different tastes. But to say the characters are one-dimensional... Maybe we have different interpretations of "one-dimensional" or we watch different dramas, but the main and supporting characters aren't one-dimensional by any definition. One-dimensional characters typically exhibit only one characteristic, making their behavior and motivations predictable. They serve specific functions within a story but often lack complexity or development. The characters that fit this description are the lackey villains led by Mr. Kim and later Kuma, although even they display some humanity layer to their typical mercenary characters in their struggles with mundane issues like paying bills, adapting to married life, feeling weary of corporate jobs, and aspiring to start their own mercenary business.

The supporting roles are at least two-dimensional due to their fleshed-out backstories. Ji Ahn and Jin Man are fully developed and complex characters (three-dimensional). Their struggles, as depicted in flashbacks, contribute to their growth and the evolution of their relationship throughout the narrative. By episode 5, it becomes evident that...

She had wanted to live on her own for a long time, he probably let her in the end so that she could be closer…
The deal was made while she was still in high school, as she was underage and had to live with her guardian, Jin Man. Once she attended university, especially considering she enrolled in a university in Seoul, and their village is likely quite far from there, she began living on her own.

is the ending conclusive? without spoiling can I know? I don’t like shows with seasons and I’ve been wanting…
The ending didn't end in a cliffhanger for one and some plots were given satisfying conclusions. But given the style of storytelling in this, it just felt incomplete for me. You will definitely have questions at the end.

It doesn't even need a second season. Just one more episode and it would conclude nicely..
I agree with this, especially if they had brought back Bale and Jin Man sooner, perhaps at the beginning of episode 7 when the twins and Sung Jo planned to attack at night. Bale could have remained behind to observe the fight and then joined in once everyone was subdued. Similarly, Jin Man could have entered the battle around this time to confront Bale. It seems, however, that the writer wanted to keep the "Jin Man is alive" card very close to their chest until the end. While the story didn't necessarily end on a cliffhanger, it is weird that there was no mention of Bale at all in the last episode, especially given his buildup in previous episodes. Even Pasin said at one point that Bale would come when he saved Ji Ahn. It appears to be a calculated move from the writer to open the possibility of another season.

story could have been reduced into a 2-hr movie. but still, a decent watch. tho i really find the latter episodes…
Yes, it could be a movie, but most dramas are created because the creators want to delve deeper into the characters and flesh them out, and it's not feasible to achieve that in just two hours. Unless, of course, you don't mind being told with an exposition dump rather than having it shown.

Agree. Loved his looks in this. Although the funny part is, I believe he was made up to appear rough, because on one of the variety shows, he woke up in the morning with flawless clear skin and pink/reddish lips, as if someone had applied makeup on him... 😄
