Title Alice Spoiler
well about tae yi's age i guess she travelled to the future and joined alice so ended up staying there and in…
Isn't it more likely that she was born in 2025? If she was born in 1997, that means there are 2 Tae Yi's in the same timeline who both are working as physicists. Considering how narrow the field she's studying in South Korea, it's highly unlikely that they aren't aware of each other. If they don't that would be a plot hole.
If she time traveled to the future, she must have done it at least in 2012 because she was supposedly 25 at the time. Just my 2 cents.

To be honest i'm really confused because the deceased FL died when she was 42 (I know she changed her birthday…
Alice exists in 2050, Tae Yi and Min Hyuk probably met when they joined Alice in 2050. She was 25 when she traveled to 1992 based on her fake ID (could also not be her real age, but let say close to it).
When she traveled to 1992, she met her past self (the little girl hiding under the desk) who grows up to be the 2020 version.
My question stems from the fact that almost everyone who travels from 2050 and using Alice service is traveling within the same universe but to different timeline hence ended up in that 2020 timeline. The universe then sort of branches out every time they take an action that changes the past. Now 2050 Tae Yi is the only one that doesn't fit that category, and I'm not sure if she time traveled before she was 25 to 2050 and work in Alice, or if she was born in 2025 and then joining Alice later

if you ask me. yea.. yoon tae yi is the mother of Park Jin Gyum.it is the same person..my worried is... Park Jin…
But the way they've been setting the rules so far is that when you time travel, you are time traveling to your past timeline, e.g. Alice clients: the guy who killed his stepbrother, the kidnapping mom who killed herself. Their past selves all live in 2020 of the same universe. The parallel universe is just there so that the story can avoid any time-travel paradox. So that when you time travels back in time, your action in the past will simply create another parallel universe instead of changing your future. 2050 Tae Yi exists in the same universe as that Alice and their clients, so following the same logic, she should be 65 y.o in 2050, not 25... unless she time travel to the future before she's 25 and then joining Alice. Or that she was born in 2025.

- Looks like Captain Go is probably the parallel version of himself, the one who came from 2050? I wonder if he lost his wife because of the Book of Prophecy since he's too affectionate with his wife in the last episode. And probably that's why he can even kill JG who has been like a son to him? But then does that mean they killed Captain Go from that universe or hid him somewhere?
- People who came from 2050 seem to be the future version of themselves from the 2020 timeline (the guy who killed his step-brother, kidnapping mom, the time traveler who's been trying to kill Tae Yi, Captain Go(?)). Now back to the 8-episode-old question: what about Tae Yi then? Assuming Tae Yi comes from the same universe as Min Hyuk in 2050, then she's living in the future timeline that is in the same universe as Alice clients? Hence the same timeline where she's supposed to be 63 y.o. , but instead, she was 25?
- Episode 8 feels like a filler, important plot developments happen only in the last 10 minutes, which is a bit disappointing. I appreciate the humor and the inside joke of Joo Won being scared of the bugs, but too much of those scenes in 1 episode don't really help to move the plot forward or for character development.

also I truly hope do yeon has a proper role to play in this or I will truly be disappointed with the disregard…
seriously! she's underutilized. She totally can dig more for information and clues if JG let her help him

I haven't watched ep 8, but ep 7 was fine for me until the last 5 mins, which kind of tease us with that possibility…
it's a double edged sword. so many people have dropped the dramas because of that (at least what I've seen here). I'm still giving this a chance, because it's not set in stone, just a possibility...

Everyone's freaking out. I wonder how bad things got.
I haven't watched ep 8, but ep 7 was fine for me until the last 5 mins, which kind of tease us with that possibility -- but again it's can be interpreted both ways so I'm still not dropping/putting the drama on hold and will judge again from episode 8. I just wish they stop teasing us with this other side plot.

I just watched Episode 7 & oh my god guys....they really seem to be going THAT WAY with the story. like WHY?!?!…
I wish Jin Gyeom would just show his mom's picture to her and ends this confusing side story. I think both of them know about time travellers but I forgot if they communicate with each other about it? I don't see any reason to hold back on that information. We don't really need this kind of directing to tease us about the possibility. And I find it annoying that everyone is keeping information from each other. Like Do Yeon is underutilized here, Jin Gyeom can tell her what's happening, she can dig more information, Tae Yi can work out the physics problem for the group. Min Hyuk can provide more information about the time travel business and together they can solve this case...

I suspect the police officer dad , for a long time. But I think he's trying to revive is dead son
yes, I suspected that he knew about the time travel business all along but I didn't expect him to be the one who worked together with the assassin. I still don't think he's the mastermind or the person they called "master". He's probably got lured into the opportunity to be able to time travel to the past to prevent his son from dying.

I've seen a lot of dramas/movies with time travel stuff. This one is the most sophisticated and realistic with…
YAAAAS. I agree. I saw comments that said the science is all over the place with this one but I'm on the opposite side. The science or the hypothesis is consistent when they are trying to explain time travel, the math is also related (despite not at the advanced level that it should be - but it's related). They pointed out that the drones are weird and added reasonings why it's not something that can be created in the present with the technology that they have (and nails it). The physics references that Tae Yi made during the drama are mostly true (at least the ones I remembered). There was a time where I sort of erring on the topic that she brought up, but then I looked up the papers and they do exist. The equation that Tae Yi wants to solve is sort of an inside joke for me though. It's a homework problem, and it's solvable, but I got where they are going with that because it's related. I'm starting to think that they have an actual physicist working as an advisor for them.
[Sorry for being nerdy, but it's great to see a k-drama that is using science properly instead of just borrowing some fancy terms from it to make it look cool.]

I cant say for others but I am here for its scifi/thrill/mystery, which is my preferred genre and I have a problem…
But that's like directing 101??? The director is responsible to set the tone of a scene using light, music, how long the camera should linger between each actors etc which is essentially telling his audience how to feel about the events that are about to unfold on screen. Signal uses slow music during sad/emotional moments to bring out the emotion of the viewers, but the type of slow music 90% of the time tells you the intention of the director for that scene. What are you supposed to feel/think if You Are My Destiny is playing as BGM in the background while Park Hae Young and Cha Soo Hyun in Signal are looking at each other while the camera is lingering on them?
The instrumental music that they played during the scene of these two (gonna forget about the last 5 minutes) in today's episode is perfect, it just a general heartwarming scene, so for a good 1 hour I was able to enjoy the episode with no complaint, Really it's an easy problem to solve, just don't confuse the viewers with how you set the tone. Also I don't care if there's no romance in this drama if it's not necessary. I'm genuinely interested in the plot and the sci-fi aspect. But it's almost obvious the way they're directing this is either to troll the viewers about the love-line or they're seriously considering on going towards that direction. I'm on the verge of putting this on hold just to see where they're taking the story, but who am I kidding, I probably will come back tomorrow to watch the next episode because I'm curious. They should have just revealed his mom's picture to her at this point. If she can figure out that Min Hyuk and the other guy are time-traveler, then she would be able to figure out that she's the parallel version of his mom, and so there will be no more confusion on the direction of the side-story

How come JG's mother didn't remember that she had the same face as little YTY? I know what I looked like age 5.
Good point! I know she was traumatized, but yeah at least she should have remembered what she looked like when she was little. Also, fast-forward 3 years later and she still has the same face!

The second title of this drama is Why make it simple when you can make it complicated? Unlike others, I struggle…
I'm probably in the minority, but the drama is being advertised as science-fiction and have this mystery surrounding how events are/were/going to take place, and that got me curious in the first place. I can watch it even if there's no romance, it's not needed, unless for Min Hyuk and Tae Yi.
Also I was actually happy with the use of physics in this drama, they're building the hypotheses in the right direction and basing it on real physics theorems to set their own rules for time travel (at least some are theories and other are hypotheses, but the ones you would use to explain the mechanism of time travel/parallel universe - of course hypothetically speaking) rather than just throwing some random physics words to make their drama "looks" sciency.
But looks like this will be another Yong Pal for me.

I think they were doing better in rating before episode 5-6, where they started adding romantic vibes between them two...
Stranger is doing fine without romance, so I don't know why they are going in that direction in this drama. I don't know if the production team is trying to troll us or something... but if they keep doing this and not stopping soon-ish, they will start losing viewers who will be turned off by where they think the romance is going. Ah, I thought this is gonna be my crack drama, perhaps not...

oh good to know. Is that from today's episode? Because I know they were saying that she's a different version of herself in the last episode, but it's ambiguous what they meant. She could be her past self before meeting Min Hyuk (i.e. the version that didn't meet him before joining Alice - because when Min Hyuk met her in the last episode, that universe is now branching to the version where she saw him before joining Alice vs the one where she didn't see him before) or her universe branched at some point in time (before 2020) creating at least 2 versions of her

Agreed! This drama, if it is dealing with the concept of parrallel worlds, is not showing the butterfly effect,…
On the BoP, I think we are following a timeline where all events are unraveling based on that? Alice could be an evil corporation or maybe started as a good thing and then turned corrupt, we are actually shown very little on that part, so imho, the drama is not focusing on Alice/corporation just yet, but setting the stage for how the BoP will be unravelled.
