I lost interest when Nobu started talking about honor in war and getting angry at people for being happy during…
I too cringed hard at the honor and patriotic talks that dominated the war arc as a war survival myself. However I was kinda interested how the story will frame this excessive patriorticisim once the Japanese lose and surrender. And I'm happy to say this patriotic atmosphere changes dramatically after the war arc. The story unfolds with great identity shifts in the characters and this in particular is the best part of this drama. I think it accurately shows how the Japanese Empirial government at the time pushed hard towards mindless patrioticisim and how the downfall of such ideals continue to dictate how the Japanese think till today. I advise you to hang in there untill the war arc is done ( i believe that 2 3 weeks worth of episodes) bevause the characters and the story development are worth it!
Well well.. My feelings are complex towards the ending, while I like that Junichi and Makiko will finally get their deserved romance, I just cannot turn my eye off Hiromi. I mean, who wakes up and utters the name lof another women right besides their girlfriend? WTF was that! The writer must be real stupid to write it this way 🙂🙂 I mean yea Makiko and Junichi could end up together, but not by completely walking over another women's feelings amd pride 🙂 Hiromi did literally serve her romantic rival's son, so what's up with that ending of hers, that's so unrealistic 🙂🙂🙂 i would have murdered my boyfriend if he used me like that🙂🙂🙂 On another hand, I still love Ryoma's acting it's really one of a kind, the way they concluded his personality tho was shitty af🥲 All in all i enjoyed this drama alot and was touched by many scenes, but the writing could have definitely been WAY BETTER.
I want to buy a copy of this and save it forever. it is so pure and real.
Real? Definitely yes. But pure? I personally don't know about that. The whole drama is about how "easy" the FL is and her multiple questionable relationships😅
I literally just opened this drama's page on MDL just to complain about the FL and found most comments doing so🤣 Good thing to know I'm not the only one so annoyed with her🙂
Damn this drama is darker than it seems. Episode after another, i feel more and more sorry for Ayana. I think she's got a ridiculously bad luck in relationships. It seems to me she should be playing more hard to get in her relationships untill she finds someone who's seriouse enough to not let her go. We've seen so little about her family background, but from the episode of where she comes back to her home, I can see a very emotionally neglectful and avoidant family and perhaps that's why she's too easy with guys she gives in to her need for love too easily and surrenders her body in the process to the point where these "kind" guys as she calls them do not feel an urge to hold on to her anymore. It looks like she's been through this enough number of times to numb her emotionally and loosen her faith in the shape of love she once believed in. If that's the case, then from a realistic point of view, therapy is the solution, not cheating and playing around🥲 I empathize with her but man i can't handle the fact the she was playing around behined her boyfriend so nonchalantly in the past episodes. I hope all these episodes tie in a good way at last🥲
I mean as much as I like this drama, I think the writing is way too sloppy and unconvincing on many different levels. I mean if I had a suspicion that my kid's room teacher is a murderer I wouldn't let my kid go to that school, nor an inch near that teacher. Not to mention, if I were dragged into a dangerous case like that, I'd send my family away to a safe place right away. So King's attitude doesn't convince me in any way it's rather stupid to me. I'd be screaming when I see him dragging his feet around the bar or smoking like "for the love of god go protect your family and send them somewhere safe ARE YOU EVEN A MAN!!!!!". I like the mystery and a lot of the directing related to it, and I'm genuinely curious to know who's the the real culprit. But I mean there so much sloppiness in the writing that I can not un-notice it. The whole thing of "forgetting someone completely" like one's memory's been wiped doesn't make any sense to me and is very exaggerated. They could have done wayyyyy better with the scenario and writing and his drama could have been a total masterpiece of the season. But after 9 episodes, I can be confident I am not going to rate it above 6/10.
It started off really good and was entertaining and fun to watch. But the ending was very rushed and kinda typical japanese feelings cheesy cringe, which is sad because i feel like the story had the potential to continue as "uniquely" as it started. Good thing i didn't wait for the subs because it wouldn't have been really worth the wait 🙃 What i loved most about this drama was the soundtrack! Both the starting and ending songs were pretty good🤌
As a manga reader, I'm a bit disappointed after watching the latest episode. The way they revealed the culprit…
Hii I'm very interested in your opinion as a Manga reader! Can you please tell me if the drama's ending resembles that of the Manga's? I'd love to know what you think!
I mean what a great plot it is for Uta to learn the trueth in the very place everything started in😭😭😭😭 so tragic😭😭 but so beautifully written and directed I applaud the writers and the director😭😭✨ But we need a proper explanation for why the Akazawas were in the Hayashikawa's house in the first place🤔 Also wtf is wrong with that old scumbag Narukawa!!!!!!! How could he slip into crime like that it kinda doesn't make sense to me it's like he's totally out of his mind idk man....
Holy heck the Akazawa's dude...Feel bad for the son. Finally showed us what was in that magazine but I think we…
Ikrrrrr i feel so bad for Mamoru😭 but you know, at least him and Komugi got each other as half siblings😭 Gosh what a tragedy😭😭😭😭 On top of what you said, there's one thing i keep thinking about regarding Kyoko, that there's almost no way that she could have hanged all of the family by herself. It's more reasonable to think that she had an accomplice🤔 or idk maybe she killed all the family in the upper floor, warpped them with a rope, and then somehow pushed them to hang? Still it takes alot for a female of her size to do all that don't you think so? So maybe Akazawa is the accomplice, and in order not to expose her or them together, she killed him..
Episode 11: I'm left absolutely astonished by how cruel this is getting😵💫😭 what an S is the script writer why does she love torturing Natsu like that🙂😂 I hope she shows some mercy in the last episode cuz damn this is depressing😭😭😭😭
I just finished episode 9.. and I can't help myself but feel like Mizuki is one selfish bastard and I hate her🌚 she literally caused all that sadness because of her selfishness to begin with.. she should have told him she's keeping the baby, a baby is made by two for a reason.. what more does a women in love need if she's pregnant than a baby dady as caring and supportive as Natsu, there is literally no effing reason to break up with him.. yet she did... not only did she break up with him for her own selfishness, but she caused Natsu's break up with Yayoi too.. she influenced all Natsu's decisions in life with her selfishness.. she should have kept the truth about who's Umi's father hidden even if she died, or she should have made things right. She cant sway every one's life in the name of her own will and happiness.. I feel bad for Natsu, all women in his life chose their happiness, but in a sense he's the only one left to take up the burdens abandoned by all. His mother remarried, his first girlfriend broke up with him after a cruel lie and chose her happiness alone with a baby, and his new girlfriend chose her happiness over staying with him and Umi(Yayoi has all the right to do so, it's just, sad) I just hope it ends good for him😭😭😭
Guys, how long do u think time has passed between ep5 (notebook scene) n ep7 (hug scene)? Was it only days, weeks…
I feeel uuuuu i thought the saaaame. That's the only annoying plot whole about this dorama so far hoping in the coming episodes we'll get some explanation from Tsumugi herself about how she feels
On another hand, I still love Ryoma's acting it's really one of a kind, the way they concluded his personality tho was shitty af🥲
