This is actually pretty good so far. The drama starts off right away. Like really. 5m in and shit's already going down.
FL is smart, strong and fights back in a classy way. I'd like her to be more raeng (fierce), and after the bad guys play a whole lot more dirty, I think we might see that later on.
The daughter is hilarious. Girl trolls her own dad and sits there trying to control her laughter while everyone else is having their power struggle at the dinner table lol
I'm on episode 9 and idk if I want to continue. I saw someone say there was a big surprise later on but honestly…
There are two reveals that will make what the school is doing with the students make a lot of sense. One reveal will get you half of it, and the second one will complete it. Other than that, the series still doesn't really have me into it that much, but it's still different and watchable enough for me to see it through to the end.
I’ve been going on a ThaiPBS binge, and this is probably my favorite one so far.
Story centers on Taem who is blind and lives with her best friend. When she gets her first job outside home, she goes out into the world and starts to gradually meet new people and step outside of her circle of comfort.
Khram is a chef and has a popular channel that Taem is a fan of. One day, they finally get to meet at his cooking class. From then on, they start having an effect on each other as well as the other people who have joined the cooking class.
The story isn’t about just Taem being blind. It’s actually about a diverse group of people that despite their social differences (age, socioeconomic status, disability, sexuality, etc), they're all able to come together to learn and grow from one another, forming genuine friendships in the process.
With the number of characters this story had, they actually did really well with all their stories. I didn’t feel like their story arcs were too short or too long. They were just right, and they did it in 8 episodes. It pleasantly surprised me in the direction that it went and the overall meaning/message behind it.
If you are into sweet, heartwarming, meaningful and wholesome dramas, I highly recommend watching this.
Host of show "อิงฟ้ามาหานะเธอ" Hello Engfa Part of the Woody network of shows. Woody is a prominent openly gay figure in Thailand. Engfa being a part of his network is a huge honor and accomplishment. She is possibly the first actually open LGBTQ female show host. I know all the LGBTQ men, and I feel like if there was a female one, I would know about this or maybe not. Please feel free to inform me lol.
She also participates in academic lectures/talks about LGBTQ issues especially for youth. Link is to one of her most recent ones in June 2023. She comes in at around 1:38:00
She's been raising the LGBTQ flag well before competing in the Voice or Miss Grand Thailand.
She'll be starring in a period drama. So this, Show Me Love and Project D -- three very diverse roles. In addition to having ongoing concerts, MCing, presenter work, judge/mentor for MGT 2024 which will also include the search for Thailand's next TPop girl group who will be training in Korea before debuting.
Went in hoping for PS I Hate You. So far, feels more like The Three Gentlebros trying to be edgy. PS I Hate You did take a couple of eps to pick up though (after the 1st ep that is), so maybe that is the case for this drama as well.
I hate that they've typecasted Mook into these same repetitive roles. Girl can act. Please give her more diverse roles.
If there's no infidelity, this may actually have the potential to be good. Cherprang has starred in a string of mostly wholesome/meaningful dramas, so I'm hoping for the best in that her team wouldn't accept a bad script for her. Plus, Aom is in this, too. Would they really waste these two in a bad story?
This was ok. Different from the usual Thai dramas (if you're tired of the same ol' same ol'), and the crimes/investigation aspect of it was pretty good, too. Could be better in the way that they were executed and the acting ability of the side characters. The difference in acting levels took away from the stories for me at times. Facial expressions, dialogue delivery, I just felt like they weren't there for many of them.
The actress in the FL role did a really amazing job as the super smart yet somewhat awkward character lol. I haven't seen this actress in a while and glad she nailed this lead role. Also had strong second ML syndrome. Guy is sooooo cute and sweet. He's just so pure in the way that he just wanted her to be happy. He is like the sunshine to the moon of the main ML. FL's brother and his gf are also a cute couple that I enjoyed watching and feel like is a nice light addition to balance the main couple as they could feel heavy to watch at times especially towards the end. To each their own. I just really like outwardly sweet characters.

A lot of of the MONO originals look so good. I've only watched two of their movies. My only gripe with them is the ending. If they can calm it down with the tragic endings, we'll be good lol.
There were two similar Club Friday stories with the exception that the main FLs were straight. Will add them to the recommendations. I feel like with this story, they're targeting the LGBTQ+ crowd with all the main characters being LGBTQ+.
Pattern so far with all of them has been the FL is in love with the gay ML. There are no CFD stories that's the other way around that I can recall. Don't know why that is.
I recall liking the previous 2 stories. More because of their friendship and the message that the most sincerest of love, the sweetest person ever and no matter how good the chemistry is, isn't going to change someone's sexuality. I like the one with Ice and Two the most. You can feel how much they loved each other and how great they are for each other. They were soulmates but not in the romantic sense, and I feel like CFD did that story really well.
I'll wait to watch the last 10-15m of this one but guessing it'll be like the previous two with the differences being the FL is gay and possibly messier in this one.
Watching ep16 and was just nodding off, so I’ve decided to drop this. Absolutely love the cast, and they’re doing a terrific job. It started off fun and interesting enough. But because Amarin has to have so many episodes, the story is dragging so much without really much going on than the usual petty stuff that I couldn’t keep myself awake enough to finish this episode. I switched to watching something else and was instantly brought back to life again.
Couple things that could improve here. One, and of course the major one, cut down the number of episodes. I initially had hope for this, because there are so many characters. You’d think each of their stories could fill up the number of episodes. But no, and that brings us to the second point. There’s so much time spent on the annoying characters and very little time on the more interesting ones. There needed to be more of a balance and more developing the characters whether they’re good or bad. Third, they could have used some story arcs to add some variation and more depth to the story. That’s all I can think of now.
No one is likeable so far, but ep1 has me curious enough to continue on to see how things unravel. Will report…
Ready to feel bad for this man. Then he just cold blooded shoots the horse his wife loves. Ehhhhh he deserves to get cheated on. What I hate more than cheaters is someone who takes it out on a defenseless animal.
