I’ve loved Jeon Jong Seo since The Call and I’m always on the lookout for dramas with badass female leads, so I was really looking forward to this movie.
Unfortunately, the writing is not that great here. The revenge felt too easy and convenient, and the bad guys were too weak/dumb considering what they were doing. When some of them died, I was like, "that's it?" They're seemingly this big gang syndicate blackmailing girls and cranking out date rape drugs, yet one girl took them all down way too easily. Her maybe blowing up their factory, having help, etc would have been more believable than her marching in on them alone with just a few old guns.
There is this one scene where she walks in all bloodied with a gun in her hand, and everyone is just carrying on with their business. That's the kind of writing we got here.
Also expected a little more of a fight from the big boss guy andddd nothing. It was kinda funny but still. Her going after just the main guy and maybe a couple of other people who were involved would have been enough, if they wanted to go with a protagonist going after the baddies solo with only a few guns route. This actually started out pretty good too until the gang came into the picture.
Despite the flaws mentioned, I still enjoyed watching FL go after the baddies, her friendship, her and the other victim having each other’s back and of course the main bad guy's extremely satisfying end. The action scenes were great. Jeon Jong Seo is amazing in action/thrillers as well as Kim Ji Hoon. The Call and Money Heist were great.
If you like the premise for this movie, you might like Promising Young Woman.
It would be funny if WolfLo are the last 2-3 standing by winning elimination battles lol. Can anyone even beat Baby Sleek in a battle?
Locker Zee was so amazing this ep. Girl lost back to back and still gave it her all every round. She even seem to get better by learning from the feedback. I love fighters like her. They're disappointed (as anyone would be) but they don't let setbacks keep them down. They get back up and better.
Really liked DeepNDap's group choreography in the elimination battle. It's always hard to see a group get eliminated, because they all really put their heart into it.
I'm a 1Million fangirl, but I really can't see myself be disappointed with whoever wins. They're all so good.
Dropped this at the 28m mark. The majority of the story is her going after the wrong people who aren't involved in what happened to her. They may not be people I care about one way or another, but it's still not interesting watching them get preyed on for no justifiable reason.
I really enjoyed Long Khong (2020), so I'm going through the entire trilogy now lol.
I am enjoying this drama but trying not to be annoyed by the FL. Overall she is a great FL but I don't like that…
Yea. I get that. Girl be listening to almost EVERYONE BUT the ML hahaha. That's the same for the 3rd ML, too. Guy is questioning the ML to death, and I'm just like dude, the worse thing that could happen putting the necklace on FL is nothing, so just stop with all your questions and put it on her already. Damn.
I try to see it from their POV that ML is a stranger who came into their lives out of the blue and seems to know a lot of things. They're obviously suspicious and are cautious not only of ML but also the fake witch doctor and other people they don't know yet. Whereas with the other people like the doctor, she's known him for presumably a long time and has some level of trust in him. The characters don't know what we, as the viewers, know.
why are the ratings this low??? i think the pace and story is going good, i really like the ml also the fl, rest…
People like different things. I like it though and holding off on rating it until the end. I'm not fond of snakes (mostly in ep1 anyway), but I'm loving the CGI for the Nakas. So cool.
Wow that ending is... impressive. Some people may not like the ending, and that's understandable. But whether you like it or not, you have to admit that was well played.
Great story and characters. Everyone did a really great job from the production team to the cast.
The only thing I didn't like is the two characters fighting, causing drama over a disrespecting manwhore/rapist. That's just on a level of dumb/petty I'm unable to tolerate. So I dinged the rating 0.5 for that.
This is pretty good so far. It's predictable but still enjoyable. The only way they could make this different is to change the ending, but I imagine that would upset many people if not everyone haha. I'd personally enjoy it though, because it would be a change lol.
This is a story where you should at least watch until ep4. Ep4 clears up a lot of things and resolves some things that irked me a bit like the FL being too damsel in distress-y, getting into trouble all the time and being so quick to misunderstand ML in the past. After ep4, I sympathize with her character a lot more. It's not really her fault she gets into trouble that needs saving all the time lol.
Never seen the actor playing the bad brother before. Guy is slaying his role. Really amazing actor.
Now I seriously would like to see a series where we get to see the characters live out many lifetimes for the majority of the series and maybe 25% dedicated to the most current lifetime.
Poor guy. Waiting 1,000 years for her and going through each lifetime losing her again. She actually stabbed herself right in front of him, too. His reaction time was oddly slow??? Why didn't she at least doubt what she saw? And the other woman, why keep her around when she is obviously in love with him and has already betrayed his trust? Does he not think that she would sabotage him again?
I cannot with the adults in that village. They are so dumb and indoctrinated. Witch doctor guy is a disgusting sleezebag. He poisons the kids and then is gonna kill them when offered a lot of money. Thank god the kids are smarter than the adults in that village though. Main doctor guy (Dr. Preeda?) seems kinda sus.
Wonder what monk guy did to have to be around to make amends.
Can the brother in the prison not at least get a loin cloth? The lady going in there into his cage everyday, and he's completely nude. Awkward lol
Pretty good so far. Hopefully, it stays at this pace. Poor guy is in love with a walking hazard. She’s either in danger or putting someone else in danger hahaha.
I'm freakin scared of snakes, but they look CGI enough for me to watch. The one on the fake witch doctor guy looked real though? I had to look away from that one.
Amarin hurts me so much with their promising storylines and characters that get dragged on for far too long. I'm on episode 9, and it just feels like they're still going back and forth on the same thing in order to meet their episode quota.
This is my 4th Amarin story, and I'm not watching their stories anymore until they go with less episodes. I saw The Family ended at 24 eps. Forgot when I dropped that one. You think I would have learned my lesson after the third one lol. I finished the first two, dropped the third one and the fourth (this one) is the nail in the coffin.
The women in this story are so badass too, and Akhrao seems like such a great guy.
oh you're right. GDH just announced that Project D is in pre-production and PP isn't a part of the cast anymore.…
Oh yea, just saw it, and I think Jeff is a great pick! From what everyone says, this is a very tough role for the ML. They have to be confident in his acting skills to have cast him. Looking forward to seeing how everyone does and what the storyline is.
Story is good so far, and I think it will turn out to be one of Club Friday’s better stories. It’s not like their usual ones (so far) but has more of a GDH feel to it. I recommend at least watching the first episode and seeing if it is your type of story.
Story is about a woman who develops dissociative amnesia to cope with the grief and loss of her loved one. How it not only affects her but also those around her and how they are trying to help her.
It's not easy to always be there for someone you care about going through something like this no matter how much you love and care about them. It can take a toll both emotionally and physically, and I think they're doing a great job portraying that with Paithong.
Really love the detail with the phone.
Thai dramas dealing with loss, grief and mental health disorders are rare. Club Friday is handling the story with the respect and sensitivity it deserves.
Aom is absolutely nailing her role here. Jes is so sweet and charming. Cherprang is simply shining in her different roles this year.
I don't think PP is in this anymore. I'm not sure because I can't tell whether Boss Nawat was talking about Engfa's movie project (Project D) or her upcoming series, but I THINK he was talking about this. So if he is, indeed, talking about Project D, they've already cast a new ML. His identity is currently being kept secret, and we'll all eventually find out when they post photos.
I am just tired of dealing sith BL crap or the crazy aunt/mother in law. Time for some interesting shows.
BL isn't for everyone, and I'm fine with them being available for those who like them. GMM does mostly BLs but every now and then, they will have a mystery/thriller.
If you haven't already, you should broaden out to other Thai channels. Mono will be having their own series that look very promising, One31, ThaiPBS and some others that are available to watch on ViuTV and other streaming platforms. I don't watch BLs personally and still have nonBL Thai drama options to watch. There's also Cdramas, Kdramas and Jdramas, too.
So every crazy one is gonna have their signature laugh.
Really enjoyed the ending.
Story and execution along the way could have been better and more built up in some aspects. For instance, some characters were missing adequate backstories especially one of the most important one. They just alluded to what happened to that character in a few sentences. It's hard to be emotionally invested in characters when they're not developed well and given more depth. I guess that is one of the pitfalls of having many characters, but then stories like Alice In Borderland and Sweet Home were able to cover all their important characters really well, so. Home School has about double the characters of AIB and also runtime.
It took a really long time to pick up and make sense -- like 13 episodes in long time. The characters, their backstories and chemistry with each other were endearing. And some of the games were interesting enough for me to stick this through until then though.
The romances felt like they were kinda just put there to pander to those who like romances, but it wasn't really necessary to have that many pairs. If it's put in the story, they need to both develop them and see them through. Only one couple I felt like their romance was done really well and was gradually built up throughout the story. They are soooo cute.
Ok fun watch for me. Glad to see Thailand steadily doing more mystery/thrillers like When A Snail Falls In Love. I always keep an eye out for them.
The cast did a wonderful job. Headmaster guy really nailed his role.

Dropped 28m in. Rating 6.5/10
This would get really interesting if doctor guy is a third Naka, but he's probably just a greedy human.
