7 episodes in and this is so good! I love Chu Yu's character. The type of FL she is, is always my favorite. Love how she took down Gu Chuseng a peng or two. Her loyalty to the Wei is beautiful too, even if she does have some alternative motives to stay in it, she learned to care about them fast. Wei Yun is so young but he's going to have to & is maturing quite rapidly. He'll know how to be the head of the family soon. Loving Victoria Song and Ding Yuxi here. I can see why Yun is going to fall for her, Yu is pretty different to some of the women he's used to. But of course, we have the whole forbidden/taboo aspect of them being in laws. Even if her husband is dead, I guess it was still forbidden for a woman to remarry her husband's brother. Although. it seems they do get married (maybe) because of their sort of wedding like outfits in the closing credits. We'll see. It also has the right kind of emotion, always makes me feel a lot when I'm watching an episode.
Yep so similar in that way. The novel has a happy ending apparently but since they changed the drama so much I hope at least it has a happy ending. Like Destined did.
Someone else mentioned it too but this drama reminds me so much of Destined (one of my favorite dramas) especially with Wei Jun’s character. He’s so much like Gu Juisi who starts out immature and carefree but circumstances and love make him grow up into a loyal, faithful, smart, strong, intelligent and quirky man and general who fights for his country. I also feel like the love story between Yun and Yu will be similar to Juisi’s and Yuru’s slow burn until they are deeply in love but with the whole brother in love forbidden love aspect to it. So far I’m really enjoying FFL. If it continues this way I can see it becoming one of my favorites. Ep 4 was brutal.
LOL Junior cameoing maybe they should have had Mark cameo on MMP in the last episode toor how Sea cameo'ed in Sweet Tooth, Good Dentist. It was an ok ending. It felt like the last two episodes fell flat and were rushed. I felt nothing while watching them and that's not good. Oh well onwards to the next one.
One thing this episode taught me is that in the end I want all the 3 siblings to unite against their father and take him down. I know it won't be easy for Pheem and Chet esp with Chet constantly trying to kill Pheem . A momentary cease fire perhaps? In the end Pheem, Risa and Chet are all victims of their father and also a product of him. None of them are good people and that's because he created monsters with his greed and putting them against each other as children. He's always cared more about his hospital and money more than he cared about his children. It will be instant karma if that happens to too, for Thanet. But with the hatred between Pheem, Chet and even Risa who knows if it will be possible. We'll see.
the first episode was iffy to me. Everything moved so fast that I had trouble connecting with the characters. And this one I was excited for. Hopefully the second episode is better pacing wise. So far was disappointed.
So far this is the only K drama, in a while, that has kept me entertained past ep 4. It's fun, of course not without its cliches, but still pretty enjoyable. Woo Ju's family even the grandma (less than the others still) are hard to root for.
The ending was disappointing in the way that the disgusting father never paid for anything he did. And he just gets forgiven like that?????? I want to break something. Other than that, though I like that we had a happy ending. After ep 11 I was unsure if we were going to get one. So, I'm happy that Sasin and Saenkaew are happy together. I'll ignore the other parts that were disappointing. Agreeing with someone down below I really hope that someday the Thai BL writers have the cajones to make the pos characters who deserve pain, pay at the end not this "redeeming" bs.
I'm going to miss this series so much My Monday's to Wednesdays are going to be so empty now. I'm going to miss Sasin & Saenkaew the most. But rumor has it that One 31 is keeping PearlPeak together after LITM. If that's true, I'm happy! PearlPeak became one of my favorite new pairings this year. It they are staying together; I can't wait to see what's next for them.
I hated that Kamfa got redeemed if any one deserved to die it was him. Pin's redemprion worked better for me because although she was a bitch in the end, she realized she was only hurting the 3 of them and in the end set out to help them even making sacrifices herself. The pos father one convo from granny and everything is, ok? I don't think so. He didn't deserve Saenkaew's esp Sasin's forgiveness at the end. The man tried to kill him more than once treated him like he was the scum of the earth because of his sexuality. But I guess Sasin loves Saen too much and accepts it as long as he gets to be with his little rabbit. As for Saenkaew I know Kamfa is his fahter but after everything he did to him he deserves zero of his respect, forgiveness or love. For Kamfa to live his life like he didn;t instill all that pain to S&S? I don't think so! But something told me he was going to be "redeemed" because in BL the biggest villains never pay AAARGH. He should have died but alas. I just hope writers start making villains pay more. That's my only complain about the ending, saw it coming, still hated it. Other than that, loved everything about it.
Watched the ending without subs an although I didn't understand most of it, I loved it! I'm satisfied. I will experience if again tomorrow. Although there's something I hated, and I knew was going to happen but seeing it happen anyway pissed me off but oh well it is what it is.
Kafah deserve the worst death ever pos. I don't want to see posts defending that man. He doesn't love his son. And even if he did, he's choosing his own reputation and homophobia over his own son's happiness. It's just so heartbreaking that there are still parent's out there like him. He disgusts me. I hope he dies like the rat he is, without Saenkawe's forgiveness (although this is prob too much to ask) . Even though I watched without subs the scene between Sasin and Saenkaew and the gate between them completely broke me. It was that painful. At least it looks like that Pin finally realized the pain that marriage is bringing to all 3 of them. Maybe she needed to see how much S&S love each other and how this is breaking them to understand that she's not the only victim in this. Tomorrow with subs I think this ep is going to destroy me even more.
