yes please! like I said before I think one of the major factors in PoJ's massive success was their chemistry! Other directors would be dumb not to capitalize on it. Although there may be other factors playing in whether we see them again or not.
also, the number of comments this is the comment section that I've been on with the most comments ever while it was airing. Most of the other ones just get a little over 20k but Pursuit of Jade got 50K+ like wow! Some cs of old dramas don't even have this many comments yet. It's going to be rare to find a comment section this active again.
Saw trailer on twitter and I think after PoJ this might be my next favorite this year. I already know I'm going to love it from the trailer just like I did with Pursuit of Jade. Hope it doesn't take forever to air.
I always loved the chemistry/sexual tension between ZLH and TXW. But boy did it explode even more after ep 37. I was sitting there basically sweating. How do I let them go now???
Finally finished! I'm going to miss Changyu and Zheng so much. I'm also going to miss ZLH and TXW amazing chemistry. I held on watching til today because I didn't want to let go :(. But alas. The ending was disappointing I was expecting more tbh. But I did love all episodes prior to that,
The court scene with Changyu and the Emperor was hilarious 🤣. Love how she didn’t temper herself at all. Does Yingbao have feelings for CY? I thought he saw her as a little sister but that scene in this ep, he seemed heartbroken. Then again not surprising for so many men to fall for her. Old man Li is an idiot. The monster he wants to put on the throne. All for having power smh.
I just saw a clip of the bathtub scene in ep 38 and OMG the TENSION, The CHEMISTRY in that scene. Pls, give me ZLH and TXW back together again someday. Their chemistry is just so good. I'm speechless after watching that whoop. The scene is a little controversial for China standards I believe so I hope Netflix and the other platforms don't edit it when it airs. I need that scene in its entirety.
That kiss was everything. The chemistry is electrizing. We're more in the political strife of the drama now but with only 6 eps left it does feel like some of that will be rushed.
I had a feeling that Li Hu'an was no good. Looks like Zheng might have figured out his double face. Good. back to one episode tomorrow it looks like. Well if it lasts longer that way it's all good for me.
we may not see Xie Zheng's skills out in the field that much, but we do get to see his brain in action. That was a good plan how he revealed the truth to SY and tends to use him against QM.

In the end, Changyu didn’t really care about his lies. Yes she was hurt and angry but she understood why he lied. That was real mature of her, I expected her to be angrier but like I said shows her maturity. What she’s upset about is the social norms that will keep them apart. He’s a Marquis she’s an ordinary woman, well she’s not but she doesn’t see herself as an extraordinary woman or knows her true origin yet. When she does know the real identity of her parents that’s when it’s going to be even harder for her, I fear. I don’t think Zheng will care about any of that until he finds out about the part his uncle played in her parents death.
