As much as I enjoyed Blossom when it aired, I have to say Pursuit of Jade tops it in every way. I did enjoy Blossom enough, but it didn't make my tops like PoJ already has. ZQJ has a magic touch for his dramas. I felt like I was watching a movie in the battle scenes and the reveal scene did not feel like a TV drama at all. I can't wait to see what he has in store next.
I mean I'll never move on from this drama. ChangYu and Xie Zheng, lil Ning, Pig slaughter squad all of them are…
I finally started watching Fated Hearts and although it's good. It doesn't hold a candle to this one. I fear the next dramas are going to have it tough trying to live up to PoJ.
Fan Changyu is Tian Xi Wei's character of her career. I see lots of directors fighting over her after PoJ. She has so much talent and screen presence and portrays her characters with so much ease that I forget I'm watching her act. Got to say I love how Zhang Ling He commands the camera when he's in Marquis Wu'an mode too. He makes you sit up and notice. That last scene with his entrance? wow!
What an EPISODE my goodness! Yes, what Changyu did was stupid and reckless, but she has no idea who her husband is. She thought that he was a lowly soldier with no ranks and easily exposed to danger at the battlefield. He would have been killed easily esp with his wounds. She loves him so much that she just wanted to keep him safe. I mean had she known that her husband was the highest of the generals the real Marquis Wu'an she wouldn't have gone to those lengths. She would have been worried yes but she would have trusted more that he could keep himself safe. This is his fault for not telling her a long time ago. Or better yet, he should have told her since they reunited at the battle camp. I still don't get why he didn't, sigh. The battle scenes were impressive especially CY vs. SH. Wow! masterfully shot! I was at the edge of my seat. That should teach the brutes never to underestimate a smaller woman who previously was a butcher. I got to say for Changyu never being at a real war she was impressive. Took down a skilled man twice her size. She looked so tiny fighting him. Saying that CY firstly experiences the horrors of a real battle. She may have heard of them but experiencing them is something else completely. Had she known what war really was I don't think she would have done what she did. The reveal was epic too. went back to rewatch it a few times already. At least she knows now. What a place to leave it at. Can't wait for tomorrow!
🤣 now we are even. But what a mess…. CY did get the food but what she did was reckless to a degree. Now the consequences of that are going to be dire 🥹. XZ just needs to tell her everything maybe that would stop her from being so rash. I did enjoy SSQ getting beat up and punched though. XZ over did it by having someone impersonate him. That’s only going to make things worse when she finds out the truth.
Loved that Xie Zheng apologized for his appalling behavior the night he left. He definitely knows he was wrong. She was too but him apologizing was a huge step in them fixing their problems and being honest about their feelings. That being said him also finally being honest about not wanting the divorce as well as Changyu. She listened to Mr. Zhao completely. For a minute I thought the Princess would reveal his identity, but she kept it secret. I can tell she's going to give the Marquis trouble over that lol. She was having fun discovering all of Zheng's secrets as a married man.
I love that XieZheng just accepts her dumb moments 😆
I think that's one of the reasons he fell so deeply in love with her. He loves how innocent she is compared to the other women he's come to know. She's strong, feisty and can knock you out with a single punch but she's still. sweet, innocent and pure hearted.
Such a good episode! Love the reunion between husband and wife. Only one gripe though now he has everyone lying for him instead of telling her the truth. Anyways the tent scene with their shadows was masterly shot. I'm liking the Grand Princess. I love how this drama has such strong, powerful women in their own right, CY, QQ and the Princess are all so feisty and strong love them all. Liked the small moments of comedy sprinkled throughout the episode as the Marquis may be caught. This whole episode was all Changyu and Zheng as it should be.
Yeah. I get the frustration to want to see both of them together soon but it’s a little sad that it seems that…
I remember a lot of people wanted him to leave already and the story to move. But now they are complaining. I get it because I miss them too but everything in the story is important. Starting tomorrow we’ll get them back.
