You’re definitely right pointing out how the profiling didn’t really seem to help too much in catching the perps most times. I think the main point was how the use of profiling could eventually come in handy when solving cases. So in the drama they seem to slowly build on it and then made it very clear in the nam ki tae case that without out profiling him first it would have been difficult to get a confession, as a way to show how profiling can come in handy other than just catching perps.
Some people seem to not understand that this show is about the journey of South Korea’s first profiler more than it is about the cases… cases are still important but the profiler and the development of his craft (and the mental/emotional toll it has on him) along with how it is applied to assist in solving cases are the center stage. I will admit some parts are a bit slow but it’s still enjoyable over all so far. But it you’re looking for a typical crime thriller this is not exactly it.

Hello again friend! I see where you're coming from but I think you're being a bit nit picky here. First off, we got a LOT of intimacy in this drama - honestly more than a number of hetero romance kdramas! I'm happy with what they gave us. And honestly prolonged intimate scenes in dramas/shows can be awkward anyway lol there are other forms of entertainment you can watch if u want a um REAL explicit scenes anyway... no need to have them in dramas imo. I mean, I wouldn't be opposed but it isn't necessary.
The triple shot scene is a kdrama classic tho! I don't think it really takes away from it but maybe I'm just use to it so it isn't uncomfortable for me. But quirks like that help to give kdrama it's own unique identity in the world of media, so it's cool by me!!! The wide eyes too... it's cute to me and has never come off as creepy, maybe that's just me again. But anyway like you said it is still a dang good BL drama either way!!

You do make a few good points here. Personally, I am a bit more open minded when comes to adaptions because after all they are an "adaptation". When adapting the written word, or 2D? in this case lol, to the screen changes will of course need to be made. As long as the changes fit within the scheme of things it is ok with me but many people seem to be terribly anal about every detail being the exact same (which is silly). So I guess it can be risky to do so especially when you know the primary audience might be those who enjoyed the source material (which I would say is the case with this adaption). Also, it's possible those adapting it aren't particularly creative or care to make changes for other reasons or possibly the original author or studio didn't want any changes made? Who knows really. It does seem a few people in the comments are grappling with the fact that flaws they ignored/didn't notice in the webtoon have become glaring in the adaption so there is that...
It has been a moment since I read the webtoon but from what I can remember it is only those two guys who bully him. I don't think a reason was given in the webtoon as is the case with the drama. I guess it you wanted to take a stab at it, it would prob be because he is small, seemingly weak, and effeminate aka a easy target. Not very creative but it would def make sense! Honestly I do not believe the bullying even goes on for too long, it was more of a plot device to bring the estranged ML's back together lol. I remember watching something from a english teacher in Korea who talked about how a lot of students and teachers usually don't seem to get involved with instances of bullying at school for varying reasons. I can not speak to how wide spread this approach is in Korea but it might be a cultural thing, can't say for sure.

This is the first time Taesung has been in the same class as Haebom so he did not know that he was being bullied, especially since they never talk at home. The reasons for why they never talked up till now are a bit of a stretch for me too and were when I read the webtoon but I believe it will give a bit more context in the coming eps.
