overall really enjoyable drama
This is one of the most polarising dramas I’ve ever seen and I don’t really understand why, especially in terms of Joy’s acting and the chemistry between the main leads. The drama definitely has its negative points (for example the constant breaking up and getting back together of the main couple, but even this seemed realistic to me seeing as there were so many things going on in the background to keep them apart) but nevertheless I really did enjoy it.I’m glad I didn’t read the reviews before I decided to watch it because I was able to form my own opinion on it. it’s not the best drama I’ve ever watched in my life but it doesn’t deserve half the hate it gets. The acting was really good and even the characters I didn’t like (Soo Ji and Se Joo) I could admire how developed they were and found some way to route for them in the end. Joy did a good job with what she was given to work with, and I actually like Tae Hee as even though sometimes she did come off as a bit flat, she always stuck to her morals and stood up for herself. I sympathised with her character a lot, and I think the lack of emotion she sometimes showed was a lot to do with her past experience so it was nice to also see her sensitive side come out throughout the episodes.
if you’re looking for a drama that will make you laugh, cry (which I did a lot of), smile, and keep you on the edge of your seat waiting for what come next, give this one a try :)))

Yearning, tension, misunderstandings and a slow burn worth waiting for
I actually really liked this drama.I got a bit lost about half way through and I had to rewatch scenes and read up explanations, but once I readjusted my expectations of the drama, I started to properly enjoy it. I went into the drama knowing I loved the two leads, so excited for a drama with them both. I was expecting a typical drama, cheesy, funny, nothing out of the ordinary. But it’s very different. I did like it though, it was something a bit different, and went deeper than I expected, focusing on trauma, family relationships and taking on the message that everyone speaks their own different language, and emotions and context can really impact how you communicate.
I loved the cinematography, and scenery of Korea, Japan, Canada, and Italy was so beautiful. There were LOTS of misunderstandings but i felt like these were justified as they went towards the message of the show, they weren’t only there for drama. The yearning, tension and slow burn was so painful to watch, but also something i love in romance stories.
A very interesting drama that is nothing like things I’ve watched before. Now I’m off to watch the cheesiest lighthearted drama I can find!

Cheesy, cute but heartbreaking
This was a very interesting watch. I’m the first few episodes the drama seemed like a classic cheesy (veryyyy cheesy) romance. And though it did have cheesy lighthearted parts throughout, it was surprising tragic and dark at times. Although I did find myself really enjoying this drama, I couldn’t get past the fact that her lie impacted him so deeply and actually really broke his heart, and the reason she had for lying didn’t seem at all valid after all the damage it did. I hate to be on a man’s side but he really cared for her, was always there for her, and was deeply in love with her, and though she cared for him too it seemed so one-sided. He tried so hard to move on from her but she seemed to do everything in her power to pull him back in and it’s actually heartbreaking to watch. I would find myself vouching for them and swooning over moments of them together, but thinking about the lies took away from it. It got better towards the end and overall I did enjoy it, not the best drama ever but good if you’re looking for a drama with all the cliches. Was this review helpful to you?
Refreshing light hearted drama
I didn’t expect to like this drama as much as I did. I’m glad I didn’t look at the reviews before starting, as I’m sure I would’ve been put off. It ended up being a surprisingly fun drama, and although it’s nothing super special, I did think it felt refreshing and would often find myself grinning at the screen. I started watching for moon ga young and kept watching for the yearning, enemies to lovers, and wholesome romance. At times I did question the chemistry of the main couple, but they ended up being really sweet and I did enjoy their romance. The second couple were so cute and I really enjoyed all their scenes. I would definitely recommend giving this drama a go, if you’re looking for something light-hearted to make you laugh :)) <3Was this review helpful to you?
Wholesome easy watching
It took me a while to get into this drama because it’s so different to the dramas I usually watch. It’s not super dramatic, with constant plot twists and and dilemmas, it’s cute and wholesome watching that makes you feel warm inside. It was a refreshing watch with no annoying misunderstanding trope to be found and the small problems that did occur were quickly solved. Usually with dramas I’m sobbing from heartbreak but in WIFTY I was shedding tears from happiness by the last episode. This is the perfect coming of age drama and I’m so glad I stuck it through the first few episodes. Was this review helpful to you?
