This drama is surprisingly good and has a lot of humour already but Mango subs seriously cracked me up. Everytime I read “ king of England” and “ heterosexual man “ 😅 I can’t stop my laugh, oh my stomach 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 . Now must rewatching with good subs.

Not bcs of 40ep rules but bad plot arrange and edit for later half of the drama. Overall the drama is still good but it can be better

If this one is xian xia drama , I think I can accept the ending with less controversial. Actually this kind of ending is not new , nor creative, it really just the same as almost 80% of xianxia drama

Are u sure there is no one ? I read a lot of comment on that matter right since the beginning of the broadcast period. But we kind of close one of our eyes , to move the plot forward. The different problem is there are 40ep after that scene to say that the FL is alive and had her revenge

Watch some more of his dram then you will have a love hate relationship with him

More dimensions villains are good but sometimes I think the screenwriter is too focus on them, especially toward the end, make the revenge of the leads became a little bit washy.
Later half of the drama is not well plot and written as the first half. Overall still a good drama but could be much more tense and better toward the end

This is a fiction costumes drama, not document historical . This drama begins a terrible tragic story , over 40ep we have very few short happy moments. All the leads have past so much difficulty, against their fate, climb step by step to earn their right to their happiness. We all route for them truly have that at the end, not some dreamy opening ending or must see extra.

They should stop the conflict at king cheng died, then have us happy moment of the couple and the family. Now turn out seem like lure king cheng to rebel then kill him is a bad idea. Now no one guard the border, we have a war after so many year of peace and the weird ending 🤨, they can have a lot of way to explain it as since Zhao and Yan now are allies, so Dai doesn’t dare to make a move or something

The scenes has dreaming feeling, also I don’t see how XH get out of the battle

I think it is like this : When you filming, it’s different with final cut, bcs it the director is the one put all scenes at the end. So when she filmed the last scene, the description was like she will run .. turn her head back, she needs to act as happy ending where she reunited with XH, but when you put it on the screen, it look quite different.
As WJY didn’t dubbed her lines, she didn’t see the final or post production until the drama air. Multiple time in the interview i saw they have statement opposite to others

They only film the extra lately, right ? Can extra count as official ? In my youku app, the extra even only show in bts section. It like they are making excuse and try to make everyone happy, the same as the fox sprit, where it had a true sad ending, then they film an alternative version.
From what I read on weibo, they really intent to make a sad ending, but change and add extra ep

I read comment on weibo and people said that it’s really intended to be a sad ending, that the last scene ep 40 is similar to XH’s mother, she also was wearing red while saw his father, then died bcs of love 😥

i Also heard about that. Even with the current eps, Without extra ep, I think it’s More of Bad ending than oe. Like a dream at the end. Happy that they change that

Without the extra, I will flip the table, last scenes is too unrealistic, another drama with FL’s imagination at the end, nooooo !
But later may be a lot of people will not know that extra ep exist. If they sell licences or people watch it from other network, may be there is no extra just official episodes
Why chinese drama love to film that way, like most of them always end at one of other leads look at … us

You know why the Lord Zhong Xi Wu always wears white, specialy when see Hua Qian, because Hua Qian used to like white clothers. There are a lot of hints that he has been always love her , not Mu Yao even in the previous life, but Hua Qian just didn't know it. She misunderstood the whole things , thought that he's her enemy and against her family and in this life, she wants to change it, but may be at the end it will be still the same as her previous life.
As my experience watching C drama, the ost lyrics usually wrote by screen writer and give a lot of insighful. In the OST there are sentences : "After so many struggles and hard work, I sign for a different path, I spent my life in wrong direction again."

I think that there are much more about her previous life. To be honest, I think all of this is just a dream while she's in coma or near her death ??? ( hope not) because there is no way you can film a 'changing the past" or alternative ending in Cdramas. So I really worry about what will happen at the end. Spend 30 eps to watch a dream ( while reality is bad) is a no no for me. I think I will wait for this to end then watching a whole because I don't want sad ending.
