she's a favorite of mine because she's real. it's RARE to find good written women in kdramas since they are always supposed to be oh so good and perfect and innocent. because women in kdramas always has to behave like a 5 yo and always rely on the rich ceo cold dude. and THIS drama is so different from all that bullshit.

you are the only one making it weird. what if the age gap is of 10 or 20 years?? as long it's legal, it's no one's bussiness. in the beginning of the show he's 17yo (way past age of consent) and still the other guy didn't want anything with him even though it would be legal. ohmnanon had good oncam chemistry and they are amazing actors (that's a fact everyone knows). they are part of the top best when we talk about gmmtv actors. i would easily say nanon, ohm, first, khaotung and gun (gun when is not a bl, that's it) are the top actors from gmmtv.

now geminifourth caught my attention too. i didn't like them in MSP because i'm really not a fan of overacting (it's so cringe), but they were really good in moonlight chicken, their chemistry is good and they have so much potential too. they were unexpectedly (at least for me) good at acting.

and i would say pondphuwin too because even though they still lack when it comes to acting, their chemistry is pretty much amazing.

i like acting + chemistry so that's about it.

there are like 3-4 "couples" from gmmtv with actual oncam chemistry and are good at acting and firstkhao is one of them. ourskyy are little episodes like presents for the fans and it doesn't have much going on, but firstkhao chemistry makes it looks like a grade A series. their acting is SO GOOD. it's insane because even those weird brokeback mountain scenes were nice.

people really think those two have good chemistry? after enchanté i thought that maybe they could get better, but no. people were talking about this show so i thought i should give it a chance but my gosh. not only the acting is bad (overacting and underacting in the same show, for fuck's sake what was the director thinking?) but the chemistry is really off. because i've seen them offcam and they kinda reminds me of offgun (by that i mean they have some chemistry, but not when the camera is rolling). but even still it's a nice friends chemistry and there's ZERO romantic chemistry there no matter how much the director tells them to kiss.
i'm convinced people will like anything as long as there are two guys making out, huh

i agree. among forcebook, jimmysea and brightwin, it's hard to know which pair have the worst chemistry. people saying they have chemistry because they are friends don't seem to understand that it doesn't mean anything if they can't even act. they have to make the audience believe the characters are in love, not that they are friends. they are SO awkward, it was painful to watch the series. and as you said, new is the director and we know he likes that horrible overacting for the sake of his weird obsession of separating characters and putting them into the top and bottom label. one having expressions of a brick wall and the other overacting for no reason. my gosh, it's cringe only thinking about it. i MAY have some hope for them in 'only friends' since it will be directed by jo and he's really good at making so-so actors actually act.

let's be honest here. they chemistry is shit. maybe because they don't know how to act yet or just because they are camera awkward, but their chemistry is better off camera. enchanté was like watching two rocks trying to make me believe they could feel anything and one of them wouldn't shut up about france.

in many bl series from thailand, there's this line. it invisibilizes bisexuality /pansexuality. it's really ridiculous and kinda offensive. it's like a guy with severe internalized homophobia trying so hard to say "no, i'm definitely NOT part of the LGBTQ". but BL IS a LGBTQ show. it shouldn't try to invisibilize a whole sexuality with one homophobic line. i'm not sure if you watched many BL, but many try to sell that characters are "straight guys" (what's ridiculous since there's no straight person in a relationship of the same gender) and actually gay men are completely stereotyped as someone overly feminine. or even if one of the two main characters is gay, there will exist that stereotype that he has to be smaller and fragile and (the word i hate) the "uke".

romanticizing violence means exactly that. you take character A who bullies B, and then B falls in love with A. to not romanticize it A should've to pay for what he did at some point, actually pay, not just be in the far end of some punches. people like this "don't change", his personality will always be the same. the only thing they can change is the way they act. series like this pass the idea to young girls that that guy who is bad for her or beat her can change one day, even when he do shit to her again "at his lowest point" (and that usually happens frequently when said guy is drunk and later will blame the alcohol and shit). and that's actually a incredibly bad thing. i understand fans of the series try to defend it so much, but it doesn't change the fact that it IS bad. you said the show called out bullying and violence, but it didn't.
