I've hadna fanfiction in my head, that several years later they meet again with the grown up Xiao Mei and the (now teenage) twins. The twins become his disciples -- as of his promise to Chuhua -- and sparks fly between him and Xiao Mei. Then continue with the rest of the Fox Volant story as per Jin Yong's book lol.

IIRC he's the leader of the (currently) three martial fighters who work for FKA. The ones who were rivals/enemies of boring masked Shang.

You see, that's how it was back then. For the royal family, the Empress is the mother of all the Emperor's children, regardless of who the birth mother is. It's pretty much the same for other upper class families. When the biological mother is someone from the low class background, often times she would raise her child/ren as their nanny, and the child/ren will address/recognize the first wife as their mother.
