Well, there are educational systems that function a bit different. For example, you may be qualified for lodging only if you come from a different region of the country. If you're local - where you live is your own problem. Also, again for example, I started uni when I was still a minor, at the age of 16, so even theoretically it was not possible to get a decent job(.

Well, re "moving out at 18" - unfortunately nowadays it's something not possible, for example if you study full time, struggle financially, etc. And I get that each culture has its own ways, mine and yours included). I don't judge, just for me personally some things are unacceptable, including lack of boundaries when it comes to private life of grow up children shown in Kdramas and Cdramas I often observe.

I think we were just born and raised in different cultures). Nothing wrong with that though). My parents certainly won't give me advice if I haven't asked for it). Their experience is respected, but as a grown up in the end I make my personal choices myself, it's my responsibility).

Personally I wondered why her parents came uninvited in the first place))). The brother had my full support until this moment, it was really disappointing to watch his behaviour. However I do not think it should effect his sister's relationship. IMO It just shows he is still immature and has to learn a lot).

Well, I suppose, if we talk about watching the drama from a real life point of view, we should take into consideration that the cinematic world is exaggerating the happening oncreen events, at least to some extant. So all this "ML already been to police station twice in just small amount of time and has face two death fire situation" IMO is there to move the story forward. A grown up woman surely could evaluate all the pros and cons of a relationship with a person with a preexisting medical condition. I strongly believe that parents should not and have no right to intervene in a grown up woman's private life (althouth I know it's different in many countries). "A concern if anyone daughter bring a deaf and silent guy to marry we will also think the same because in long term they have to face many things " - my parents would be concerned if I bring home an active criminal or an active drug addict/alcoholic/abuser). Also, imagine the situation he is a normal healthy guy, and they marry , and then he has an assident and loses his hearing or worse - they would still face same difficulties you indicated).
Honestly when I learned the Japanese version's ending I was very disappointed this Kdrama may turn that way as well. However the more the story progresses the more I enjoy the drama and don't give a d... m re the ending)))).
My friends' dauther sadly got meningitis at the age of 3, and lost her hearing. Her speach deteriorated really quickly, in maybe 2 mounths(. Thanks to new technologies she got cochlear implants. She is now 7 and speaks almost perfectly, however her perents took her to different trainings almost non-stop to achive this result. I think if ML was born in present time and he would have gotten those implants with all the training his life would be totally different.
I’m really disappointed at the brothers reaction. I can understand being concerned or being alarmed but the…
The parents and brother's reaction gives us, the viewers, a good explanation why ML avoided relationship with people outside of his comfort zone. Also I was very sad FL is slightly concerned already, telling her friend if her knowledge of sign language is enough if their relationship progresses.
Just wanted to say the plot is one of the most heart-wrenching I've ever seen oncreen. Honestly I'm a bit fed up with it after 12 episodes I've watched, and I sincerely hope it's not another Moon Lovers-kind of story, when numerous obstacles / misunderstandings/etc. prevent the leads from being together. However I find the acting brilliant, especially by ML. So obviously I'm torn here weather I want to torture myself further))), or just drop it and safe myself from possible heartbreak))).
