Ok, 2 more episodes to go for me. I actually hope to see more from the Emperor character during next episodes. sa it just me, or was his role really decreased? Bcs he is just constantly angry, shouting and throwing things like cups and memorials on the floor. I felt he had more character development during the first part or the drama, now he is just stuck.
Also all that blurring during bed scene, again))). I've seen some bts and they really spend time while filming it, and for what - for 3 seconds)))). Princess and her scholar were given more kissing time then the leads!)) I'm totally unhappy, hehe)))

I just finished ep35 and can't hold it) Poor Liu Chen, he looked soo sad(. And our ML's are all in lovey-dovey, just like nothing happened). While they were obviously "reported on national news", hehe)))

Do not want to argue re this particular drama, bcs it's useless. For me it's one of the best dramas of this summer. So people here, including myself, will still enjoy it despite the fact that you personally dislike it.
Re "modern chinese drama" and " little people story" I wonder if you for example watched My Super Hero (2022).

Same here. Lost Love in Times was my first drama with him. I enjoyed his recent roles a lot, just I wish he gets a role with a character that smiles more often 😊. He has an adorable smile, and the recent characters so far are so unhappy in love and tragic as well, so not that much place for smiling 😊.

LD is less restrained, thus he acts differently; SJH is in a way more crazy inside; Princess is much more complicated and I'ld say maybe less cruel. Also reading the novel is not the same as watching a drama. We , the viwers, already know the truth when we see Princess and SJH's scenes, but in the novel we learn 100% only when the leads crack them face-to-face.

Honestly the character of the Princess from the novel is a bit different. I could not make myself to hate her after I finished it. SJH and LD are also different. MZH and LC IMO are the most close to the original.

SJH insisted to take all the blame on himself and killed himself with a sword. The Princess watched him dying in her arms. From what she said seems she realised she is the reason he died. She then took her life with a sword too.

As I said many times before, he is one of the best when it comes to portraying a multidimentional character. He was great in Love Between Fairy and Devil as well. And long hair suit him the most).

Emmm, if it's only just like then it's not the ending I'ld prefer for SJH. It was done much better in the novel). I won't watch without subs though, so will need to wait a bit)

BTW , I noticed MZH was really different as well- from when she thought he was a brothel resident and she had no problem taking his clothes off, and now she was like "Emm, I'ld better pretend I do not understand what's he talking about"🤣🤣🤣

Well, they rarely shoot the scenes in drama timeline order, so not sure what happened here). I noticed after the leads finally got together LD finally looks more like a human, they clearly changed the filters/make up/or did smth during post-production. Althout MZH still looks like a porcelain statue)

Honestly I think we have to blame everything on Zheng Guo Lin's (Emperor) forever baby face))). Poor creators do every trick to make him look older in every drama he participates - white hair, thick clothes, moustache. He still looks so innocent)))
